After completion of Bachelors Degree program in Commerce, you may join the Accounts Branch of Indian Air Force. In order to be eligible to join the Accounts Branch:

• You must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in your bachelors degree program.
• You must be within the age limit of 20-23 years.

Now, candidates who fulfills the aforementioned eligibility criteria needs to take Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) conducted by Air Force Selection Board twice a year. The notification regarding the Air Force Common Admission Test is published in the month of June as well as in the month of December every year.

There are two entry schemes for you through which you can apply for the Indian Air force as a commissioned officer. The first one is through combined defence service examination and another one through Air force common admission test. Both the entry schemes are conducted twice in a year. The CDS exam is conducted by the UPSC and the AFCAT examination is conducted by the Indian Air force.
The eligibility required for both of the entry schemes is given below:

COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAMINATION
Candidate applying for the CDS examination should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for the combined defence service examination. Also you should have physics and maths at 10+2 if you are applying for the Indian Air force and Navy.

Age Limit
Indian Military Academy 19-24 years
Air Force Academy 19-23 years
Naval Academy 19-22 years
Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 years

AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST
For the AFCAT examination a candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university and should have physics and maths at 10+2.
For technical branch only the the engineering or equivalent degree holder candidates are eligible.

Age Limit
FLYING BRANCH
19-23 years

TECHNICAL BRANCH
18-28 years

GROUND DUTY BRANCH
20-23 years

If you want to join IAF so,you have to Graduate in science stream.

You can join IAF by three ways:-
1).AFCAT
2).CDS

FOR CDS ENTRY-
Candidate should have Graduate in science .

FOR CDS ENTRY-
Candidate should have Graduate in any stream.

Required Eligibility :
YOu must be unmarried.
Your Nationality as Indian is must.
You Should have completed Degree from a recognized university.
Age limit must be between 20 to 27 years.
Must be physically fit according to standard weight and height chart.
You can even enter through CDSE:
Indian Air Force(IAF) Exam :
>> Your age should be in between 19 to 23 years
>> You should have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university
>> You should be unmarried male
Selection process :
Written Test
Intelligence & Personality test
Medical test
Exam pattern:
All the three papers are of objective type containing the
>> English
>> General Knowledge
>> Elementary Mathematics
Totally for 300 marks,each paper is of 100 marks.

Flying branch ::

For this you have to take CDSE exam which is conducted by UPSC twice a year to select
students to ARMY,AIR FORCE AND NAVY

Eligibility for AIR FORCE ::

You must have passed your bachelor degree and have got physics and mathematics as
subject in class 12th .
You must be between 21 to 23 years of age


Technical branch ::

You can get entry here through UES entry scheme which is direct entry to the AIR
FORCE.If you are eligible for it then you will get call for SSB directly there is no written
exam .

Eligibility ::
Must have passed BE / B Tech degree course with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate .
There must be No backlog.
You should be between 18 to 28 years
