gud evng sir/madam,my name is B.purnachandrarao i want to go for civil services. My height is 5.3 inches now. Tell me sir/madam am i elegible for civil services IAS examinations.

Minimum eligibilty to apply for the UPSC Civil services Exams is:

Educational Qualifications: Graduation pass in any Stream

AGE- Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years
Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

ATTEMPTS- General candidates- 4 times
OBC- 7 times
SC/ST- No such restriction

This exam is held in three stages:
Prelims
Mains
Interview

There are no age criteria to apply for IAS. Graduation is the basic requirement. This qualification must be obtained from recognized institutions in any streams. Age of the applicant must be less than 30 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit in the order of 3 years and 5 years is offered for OBC and SC/ST candidates.
