You have just completed your 10th standard so you are not eligible for Indian Army or Indian Air force exam .But after completion of your 12th board you can apply in Indian Army and Indian Air force through NDA exam .

NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.

This exam is conducted by twice time in a year as NDA I and NDA II Exam .Through this exam , you can apply in Indian Army , Indian Navy and Indian Air force .

For this exam required some eligibility criteria , this criteria is given below-

Education Qualification:-

12th standard . Final year candidate can apply .

Age Limit:-

Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

Citizenship:-

You must have citizenship of India.

Martial Status :-

Sorry to say with the 10th standard qualification you are not eligible for the Indian Air force wing. You need to complete 12th standard in science stream to make you eligible for the Indian Air force wing. So, we suggest you to continue your studies by applying 11th and 12th standard in science stream. After completing 12th standard you are eligible for Indian Air force wing through NDA examination, which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for every twice in a year.

Eligibility Criteria:- (Indian Air Force wing through NDA)

-The candidate should have appeared and passed 10+2 from a recognized university with physics, chemistry & biology.
-Those candidates who have completed 16.5 years and have not crossed 19 years are eligible for NDA examination.
-Only single male candidates are eligible for the Indian Air force wing.
-The candidate should be physically as well as medically fit.
So, If you have satisfied the above criteria, then you are eligible for Indian Air force wing through NDA examination

It is good to see that dear aspirant you are interested in the Indian Force.But with only 10th standard you can not join or eligible for the INDIAN FORCE.You have to first complete your +2 than only you will fulfill the basic eligibility criteria.


Eligibility Criteria for NDA:-

• The Aspirant should have appeared and passed 10+2 from a recognized board in science stream.
• Those Aspirants who have completed 16.5 years and have not crossed 19 years are eligible for NDA examination.
• Only single male Aspirants are eligible for this exam.
• The Aspirants should be physically as well as medically fit.

Hello friend,

If you want to join Indian Army after class 10th then there is only one option which is going to the rallies organised by the Indian Army time to time in various places of the country.

Please note that you will only be able to get a post of sainik by going to these rallies.

Selection procedure is as follows :-

First of all you have to reach the respective ground and you will be allowed to enter the ground if your height matches with the requirement of Indian Army which is around 172 CM.

Once you enter the ground then you have to go for race of 1600 metres. You will be given 8 minutes to complete the race and if you complete the race in 7 and half minute when you will be given extra points.

Once you complete the race then you will be taken for long jump and high jump.

After you complete long jump and high jump your chest will be measured. It should be atleast 180 cm without expansion and minimum 6 cm expansion is required.

If you clear all these stages then there will be written exam of 10th level and then you will be taken for medical examination.

Once you complete all the above steps then you will be hired for the Indian Army and a proper training will be given to you.

There are 3 options for joining Air force.
First is through NDA, for which exam is conducted every year after class 12 for admission in National Defense Academy, Dehradun
Second is through AFCAT, for which you need to do BE/B.Tech as your graduation with maths and physics as your compulsory subjects in class 12 and graduation also.
Other option is through CDS, the exam for which is conducted by UPSC, for which you need to be a graduate and no such subject requirement.
For being on safe side, i would suggest you to take up Non medical in class 11 and 12 and then go for either NDA test or complete your BE/B.Tech
