A candidate can apply for the IAS exam after the completion of graduation through civil service examination. This examination is conducted by the UPSC every year. The eligibility required for the IAS examination is given below:

Education Qualification
For the IAS examination a candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for the civil service examination.

Age Limit
For the IAS examination a candidate age should be between 21 to 30 years.
Relaxation in age is given to reserved category candidates like SC/ST, OBC, PH, ex- serviceman and so on.

-IAS exam is conduct by UPSC.
-UPSC conduct this exam twice in a year.
-you have passed your 12th class but this is not sufficient for IAS. UPSC decide a eligibility criteria which is as below
Eligibility
-candidate should be graduate from any recognized university.
