i am a child 14 years want to join THE INDIAN NAVY but not able to get proper knowledge about how to join NAVY and the requirement for the same.
I hope you may help me out about the same.

Career in Merchant Navy can be pursued either as an officer or a rating in mainly two specialized fields, i.e. Marine Engineering and Nautical (deck).

You have not mentioned your qualification.

I think you are a class 10th passed student. If it is so then you can join merchent navy as rating officer & following courses are available to you:

4 month Pre-Sea Course for General Purpose (GP) rating.

3 month Pre-Sea Course for Deck rating.

3 month Pre-Sea Course for Engine rating.

4 month Pre-Sea Course for Saloon rating.

after 12 you can go through NDA which is conducted by UPSC,

in which an exam is to get clear and then after you will be called for an

To join the navy you need to first opt for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in your 12th standard. Then you appear for the various entrance exam for engineering stream. Once you complete your third year be on the lookout for advertisements for call of suitable candidates. You can apply when you are in your final year.

The best way to join indian navy is through NDA exams which are conducted by UPSC twice a year. the basic elligibility criteria are:- 1). 12th passed with science stream and maths cumpulsory. appearing candidates may also apply. 2). age between 16&1/2 to 19 years. 3.) only unmarried male candidate. so, you are not elligible now. wait for 2 years. for information regarding NDA exams and dates logon to www.upsc.nic.in. good luck.

Dear friend your age is too small .i appreciate your interest but for that you should complete atleast 16&1/2 years as is the minimum age required by NDA. you would be able to join indian navy after getting success in NDA exam. for appearing in NDA exam you need 12th passed with science . for more read employement news regularly.

This time you are just 14,you have to wait up to your age minimum 17 years after that you will appear give the exam of NDA. In this exam you have option for all three field of defense means Indian Army,Navy and air force.For this you have to must clear your 10th exam.Every year this exam will conducted.

Grow up kid,you can enter into Indian navy by going through the NDA exam.But before that you need to complete your 12th from PCM background.Since its a exam conducted by the UPSC board you need to full fill certain criteria.

You can even apply for the SSB board after completing your 12th.You can even go through the NCC so that you can get direct entry after completing your graduation in Engineering with 75%.

You can even go through the CDS exam afer completing your graduation course.

It is good to know that u r interested in Navy but u have 4 years to make a carrier.you should apply after 18 in NDA exam.If U will clear this then u can apply for this job.ok

Hi,

Since you are too young you can prepare to go into Indian navy after 12th. you can appear for the NDA exam conducted for officer's entry into navy after 12th.

You need to be of good health and free from any allergies, chronic disease to be eligible to work in the navy.

To join the Indian navy you need to have a +2 in science. You must have studied maths as a subject. The age of the candidate must be in between 16-19 years. The UPSC conducts NDA exam as to select skilled candidates. This exam is carried out twice a year. For more information please visit the official website.

you can join in Indian navy after your 10th.

but if you want to get chance in Indian navy as a officer then you can go with in two ways

1.through UES. which exam you can appear in the final year of btech/BE.

2.through UPSC exam. this exam you can appear after any graduation course.

Hi Friend,

Since you are 14 years, you still have so much. After your +2, you can write an exam called NDA conducted by UPSC.
When you filled the form, you should opt for Indian Navy.
After the written exam, You have to face SSB.

For Indian Navy, you should take science in your +2.

start preparation from now onwards.

NDA exams consists of all the subjects- maths, english, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, history, GK, etc.

You can join Indian Navy through Short service commission in logistic cadre of executive branch. But you need to be graduate for this exam.

You can join through

Don't worry my friend. There are still way to join Indian Navy other than NDA.

You can join Indian Navy after graduation.
1. Short service commission
2. BTech entry scheme

yes you can join Indian Navy if not NDA... Many technical and non-technical executive jobs are available for candidates of 10th passed to post graduates.

So no need to worry.also Indian Navy which is recruiting for the recruitment of Air Traffic Controller posts. else you can do engineering and apply for Navy.

There are mainly two section in Indian navy i.e
1.)SSC Technical Branch
Entry (Branch/ Cadre)
Engineering
Electrical
Naval Architecture Cadre

2.)SSC Officer (Executive Branch)
Entry (Branch/ Cadre)
General Service
Logistics

there are many option just complete graduate and concentrate on it and then apply for many branches of NAVY which you feel interested!!!

Your age is perfect for NDA exem,after 12th class you can sit for NDA exem and if you qualify then you can join there...
I think this is a negative sperit 'Die for motherland' ,it should be'fight for motherland'...

you can join the defence but you must have atleast 75% in physics ,chemistry and maths in class 12 .along with this you also need to maintain yourself with the health and height factor also.you must keep your weight less than 65 kg and your age should be between 18-21 years

The ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for Indian Navy is as follows:-

Age – The applicant should be of the age between 17-21 years (ie. he should not be less than 17 or more than 21 years on the date of enrolment).

NOTE: Relaxation of age – Against sports quota entry, the upper age relaxation for oustanding sportsmen, who have played at International / National / State level may be considered upto a period of 12 months.

Nationality – Applicant should be a resident Indian. The Gorkhas, subjects of Nepal, are also eligible for applying for SSR recruitment.
