Re: How many engineering courses are there? Which one has a good scope for ladies?
There are many Engineering courses which are offered. Some of the courses which have majority number of seats overall in India are:-
Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Tele-communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering There are many more branches in Engineering which you can opt for like Genetic Engineering, Auto mobile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Bio-Medical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Agricultural..etc But they are few colleges over all India offering the above mentioned courses. Well now a days, when women are entering into all sectors like Defense, Railways, Public Service Commission..etc hence you can opt for all these streams. But most of the women usually prefer Computer Science and Information technology to enter into software sector. Please choose the stream you are interested rather than preferring the group which majority of the women prefers. Women are equally preferred for core sector companies of Electrical and Mechanical Branches because they even possess the equivalent talent. Streams which have less number of seats like Genetic Engineering and other streams should also be preferred. |

Re: How many engineering courses are there? Which one has a good scope for ladies?
There are several general branches in engineering which are offered by a majority of the engineering institutes in India like :- Electronics & comm. Engineering,Instrumentation and Control Engineering ,Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Computer Engineering, IT and Civil Engineering.
Other then this some institutes offer some other branches like :- Mechtronics, Aeronautical Engineering ,Agricultural Engineering ,Chemical Engineering, Automobiles Engineering,Industrial Engineering,Marine Engineering, Mining Engineering, Textile Engineering, Production Engineering, and Petroleum Engineering. Girls usually go for Electronics and comm., Computer enggineering , IT etc. But you will find a good number of girls opting for Electrical, mechanical, chemical and even civil. Womens have made there presence feel in nearly every field and even tough areas like army. So it depends on your personal prefrences on what branch to choose. All the branches have good scope and have good job opportunities. |

Re: How many engineering courses are there? Which one has a good scope for ladies?
Well engineering is the branch of science which is popular among students and is of 4 years
course at the end of which your are technically more sound then general people and this help you to get good job in good MNC at higher post then other students . Branches of engineering :: Electronics and Tele-communication Electrical and Electronics Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering Metallurgical Engineering Bio-Medical Engineering Information Technology Computer Science Genetic Engineering Auto mobile Engineering Chemical Engineering Marine Engineering Textile Engineering Well all field are good in there ways and all are better for girls and boys both there is no difference except you can say in mechanical and auto mobile engineering which girls do not prefer to do as you have to do lot of physical wok in these courses . But computer science, electronics ,bio-technology, civil engineering ,information technology these are very popular courses among others courses |

Re: How many engineering courses are there? Which one has a good scope for ladies?
There are lots of engineering branches now a days owing to the emerging needs & inventions.
Computer Engineering Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Chemical Engineering Industrial engineering Automobile engineering Ceramic Engineering Aeronautical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Marine engineering Environmental engineering Software Engineering B.Arch Textile engineering Engineering Physics All the branches have good placements & importance of their own, you can choose according to your interest. Although are now in all of these branches, but prefer for those which are less physically demanding like computer Sc, electrical, biotechology, chemical. Premier Institutes for Engineering: There are 15 IITs which conducts IITJEE for admission 20 NITs , admission is by AIEEE BITS, entrance exam BITSAT |

Re: How many engineering courses are there? Which one has a good scope for ladies?
There are numerous engineering courses. We would like to remind you that none of the engineering courses are male specific or female specific. Some of the common engineering courses are ECE, CSE, IT, MECH, EEE, Civil, Bio- technology, Aeronautical , instrumentation, applied electronics, etc. The courses that usually preferred by girls are civil, electrical, bio-tech etc. But we would recommend you to find out what your interest lies in and then opt that particular course.

Re: How many engineering courses are there? Which one has a good scope for ladies?
As you are Girl then it is better if you choose COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING or INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY.Because generally girls are preferred for software fields than hardware field because in hardware field the work will be more and it doesn't suits girls,so naturally for software field s girls are chosen because the work is done by sitting,so it is better if you prefer the branches which i mentioned above.
But as Girls are equally working with men in present years and if you have such opinion then you can go for any field in Engineering department like: CHEMICAL ENGINEERING, CIVIL ENGINEERING, AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, AEROSPACE ENGINEERING, AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING, ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING, MINING ENGINEERING, OCEAN ENGINEERING, ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING, CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING etc. But it is better if you choose the branch among the above highlighted branches. HOPE THE INFORMATION HELPED YOU AND ALL THE BEST. |
