NIT institutes figure in the top ranking list of the country. So to secure admission in any of the institutes you will need to have a high score. If you figure in the top 1000 ranks then certainly the chances of getting a call are high. Also you must prepare for the interview round. Make sure that you well prepared for the exam.

Re: How much rank is required in AIEEE to get a seat in NIT's?
Hi
AIEEE stands for the All India Engineering Entrance Examinations. It is regarded as one of the largest examination in the country which is conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) every year in the month of April right after the board exams are concluded. Now NIT's are the National Institutes of Technology and they are counted amongst the finest technical institutions in our country. So a lot of students aspire to study in the NIT's. Now coming to your question, as to how much rank is required in AIEEE to get a seat in NIT's, I would say that the competition is very very tough and that you should score as high as you can. Still whatever cut of ranks can be said I would say with my experience that most of the NIT's are filled up by the top 5000 ranks. So if you are GEN, then try hard to score within the 5000 rank and then only you can get a seat in any of the NIT's Hope this helps All the best Regards RANJEET |
