I dont know how to prepar for exam of ips. N so pleas give me syllabus of ips exam..

IPS officer,candidate need to appear for Civil Service examination. CSE has three section :-
In the Preliminary examination has two section and both are objective type. IPS Stands for Indian Police Service examination and this examination is conducted Once in a year by Union Public Service Commission.
To become a IPS officer,then the candidate need to appear for Civil Service examination. Civil Service Examination can be divided into three stages :- -Preliminary examination -Main examination -Personal Interview Eligibility for IPS :- -Minimum Qualification for IPS examination is bachelor's degree in any discipline of a recognized University or equivalent qualification. -Age should have attained the age of 21 years and must have not attained the age of 30 years as on 1st August of the year of examination. -Those in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply. -The candidate must be physically fit to the physical standards for admission to Indian Police Service. 4th January 2012 02:31 PM |

My self arun bhardwaj serving in a merchant shipping company on the rank of 2nd officer, have a doubt about to eligibility of appearing qualification for IAS posts. sir i have Bsc. nautical science degree awarded by IGNOU, is am i applicable to submit the above maintion form?????? please clarify my doubt. |

IPS Syllabus for Preliminary Examination

This paper will require you have an understanding of normal day to day issues. You are not expected to have specialized knowledge on any subject, but a common understanding is necessary. You must know current national and international events and have detailed knowledge of history of Indian political system, society and economy. Paper 2 Optional Subject: For this exam, each candidate has to choose one subject from a wide list and prepare for it. This optional subject depends on the type of job that he or she wants to take as an IAS officer. One can choose anything from animal husbandry to philosophy, from law to political science. There are about 23 different subjects from which the candidates can choose their favourite subject. Thanks... |

There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam. Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam. But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate. In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years. The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years. Also you must be citizen GOOD LUCK............ |
