I m girl, my age is 26 years and I have done Post Graduation (Economics). Can join Indian Army? If yes, how to apply for it and in which branch of Indian Army can I join? Please, give step by step procedure of applying for the Indian Army.

- Yes, you can join Indian Army through OTA (Officers Training Academy) through CDS (Combined Defence Services) Examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). Eligibility Criteria for CDS OTA :

- One must have passed graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.

- One must have attained age of 21 years but not more than 27 years before applying the form.

- Form can be applied through the official website of UPSC under the examination section.

- Fill all the particulars asked by them and pay the requisite pay either through online mode or through challan.
- CDS written examination consists of 2 parts i.e English Language and General Studies.

- After clearing the written examination you have to go through the SSB (Service Selection Board) interview.

Options to Enter Indian army for Women Candidates are as:

Short Service Commission Non Technical Women-- Maximum age to apply is 25 years and minimum educational qualifications required is Graduation pass.
Candidates should be unmarried.

Short Service Commission (Technical) Women-
Maximum age to apply is 27 years and minimum educational qualifications required is Btech.
