Research Aptitude Test (RAT)

Dear Friend

Research Aptitude Test is conducted by IIMs for admission to
Fellow Program in Management (FPM) at IIM campuses.

The FPM is a course equivalent to Ph.D.

The eligibility criteria for the test is as under;

Master’s degree in any discipline, with at lease 55 % marks and
at least 50% marks at Bachelor’s degree level
OR

Bachelor degree with complete professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, CS with
at least 55% marks and with minimum of two years post-qualification work experience.
OR

B.E./B.Tech degrees with at least 60% marks and minimum two years post-qualification
work experience.

The FPM shall include four stages
1. First Year
2. Second Year
3. Comprehensive Examination
4. Thesis

The RAT will be similar to CAT.

It is a reseach program which is conducted by IIM , Bangalore.
The exam pattern of RAT is similar like CAT.In this exam they judges your Quantitative,Analytical,Reasoning,Language,Researc h skills.

Question pattern of RAT is Objective type.
Time of exam is 90 to 120 mins.
Format of test may be change .

Download the application form from our website. Duly fill in the application form and send it by post to FPM office along with all your relevant certificates and a demand draft of Rs300 payable at Indore.

Research Aptitude Test is carried out by IIMs for selection to FPM(Fellow Programme in Management). FPM is a full time doctoral programme at IIM. This programme is for those who have very high level of analytical skills, commitment and motivation for persuing rigorous research career.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates with any of the below qualification are eligible to apply for FPM :

• Masters degree with at least 55% marks. There should be minimum of 50% marks in bachelor's degree programme.
• B.Tech/B.E with at least 60% marks and two years of post qualification experience.
  
• Professional qualification like CS, ICWA, CA with at least 55% marks and two years of post qualification work experience.
• CAT/GMAT/GRE score along with application is encouraged to submit. However,even without a such score application is accepted.
• Those who are working at UGC/AICTE recognised institute/university on full time basis for at least three years are called for interview directly. Candidates having qualified UGC/CSIR JRF are not required to submit any other score.

Overview of FPM

• Candidates are able to choose their area of specialisation according to their interests.
• Duration of FPM is generally 4 to 4.5 years. However candidates get upto maximum 7 years to complete the programme.
• Candidates are given stipends during the programme. Like IIMB gives Rs. 24000/pm to the candidates to support their family.

Application for RAT can be done through IIM website. Last date of submission of application form is 20th January for RAT-2012. RAT is MCQ type aptitude paper of 90-120 minutes. In general, from a area 2-6 students are selected. For more information Click here
