I am pursuing my M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics & having experience of two years in teaching D.Pharm(diploma) classes.I want to know what post & salary package, I should get.

pharm is one of the leading field,it have more scope.you have two years experience in teaching therefore you get more income in teaching field than industries but industries have more promotion than teaching so choose your field .

pharmaceuticals is an great field to be in this period,and it is really a booming field.
you can get job in research field and the salary will be generally on the higher side.
i will advice to go for an foreign company

Its depends upon from which institute you persue the course,because today quality of education is also a big factor.

However,a post graduate from a good institute can expect anything between
3.5-6 lacs/annum,after few years of experience say 5 years you can clame 9-12lacs/annum.

friend one thing i want to say..dont think about salary package while selecting first job ...after some time salary will be hiked by ur performance..it will be in several lacks if u perform beyond the expectation of your manager..so dont worry about it

In Pharmaceutical industry during entry level in one ears app 3- 4 lakhs per year . However after years of experience the package may increase to 5- 6 lakhs per year depending on the need from your side and the company side.
Big pharma active in India are Ranbaxy, Dr Reddy laboratory , Cipla ,
and multinationals like pfizer, abots, gsk, aventis etc.
Entry level depends upon your technical knowledge and communication skills and how meticulous you put across your objectives.
Management degree is not a must to entry to pharmaceutical industry but if done will have an added advantage

m.pharma is good degree. companies give high package. also since you have 2 years experience in teaching you will get higher starting salary ranging from 3-6 lacs/annum.

doing m.pharma is a nice option. procedure for application is:
Candidates can obtain the application forms in person or by post by sending a request for the form to NIPER, Mohali. Candidates have to send the filled form along with copies of their NET/GATE scorecard.
Last Date for receipt of request for issue of Information by Post: April 1st week, 2010
Last date for submission of completed application forms: April 4th week, 2010

my dear friend, its depends on the institute, in which you have doing this course, if the institute is good, then you will get good jobs with good remuneration..........the salary its depend upon companies......the minimum salary is 2 to 3 lackh per year.

my dear, after doing m.pharm in p'ceutics, you have 2 year exp. In teaching d.pharm college, you can try in pharma. Industry, it will give you a chance to grow both in terms of skills & in salary package, within 5 years.good luck

even no good job for pharmaceutical M.Pharm initially........they are working like donkey's.....
In pharma field you grow like rainy season...very slowly..and till the time u grow dats 2 late 2 b....(Responsiblities all around)..
please dnt suggest anybody 2 come in pharma (india)..in India pharmacists stands nowhere...

well that's true. initially m.pharm fresher only gets about 15k per month working for about 10-12 hrs a day and it's only after 5-7 years of experince one may get a decent salary which creates a lot of frustation amongst pharmacy graduates like me.

let me help you friend its totally depend on your capability how and in which field you can smoothly work
in production field if you go then there you have more workload and less money and in teching field if you go then you get more than in reserch field
and also another fator is your experience that effect your salary

After M Pharm in Pharmaceutical, one can work in Pharmaceutical marketing, Manufacturing,research and development , clinical research etc. and can earn between Rs.20,000 to Rs.30,000, during the initial period, provided the course been done from a reputed institute such as Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Jamia Hamdard and Jadavpur University.

r u crazy?? engineering is a much better option than pharmacy.(in india)
a graduation in engg. is sufficient to get a well paying job, whereas in pharmacy u shud b at least masters in pharmacy to get a decent job. pharmacy is also much tougher, time consuming and less satisfying course than engg.
also in engg. we have ample opportunities in defence services, private as well as public sector as compared to pharmacy which has got a limited scope. in pharmacy sector, the efforts r more and output is less.
so dude, i never suggest anyone to persue a career in pharmacy (as i am also a pharmacy graduate) unless he wants to work in u.s. or u.k. rather than in india.

is u.k masters is valid in indian indusyrial sector

What the hell all r speaking here. Im M Pharm Pharmaceutics Graduate searching for job from 6 months, None called even for Interview.
secured 80% in M Pharm and my seniors are on the same boat struggling for job from 1 and half year.
If u want to become a lecturer u can do M Pharm by spending lakhs.
Even if u get a corporate job An average salary of good pharma company is 15000/- per month and has to work like donkeys & for this profile getting job is too difficult.
Better don't ruin ur life too buddies.

I think pharmacognosy would be the better choice for newly graduated pharmacists..as lots of new herbal industries are blooming in india..and also has a lots of research oppurtunities
