Hi, I have completed my 12th Board exams and now wish to study B.Sc. Astronomy. Which are the top 10 government colleges as well as private colleges for B.Sc Astronomy? Their admission criteria and application procedure?

There are currently no colleges in India which offer B.Sc. in Astronomy. You can choose this subject either in Master's or phD. To choose Astronomy in higher studies you need to do Bachelor's degree in Physics or Engineering in Physics first.
Top Institutes for Astronomy study in India: 1. Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore 2. Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore 3. TATA Institute of Fundamental Research, Pune 4. Osmania University 5. Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani 6. Punjab University 7. IISER, Pune 8. Institute of Fundamental Research, Tamil Nadu 9. IIST, Trivandrum 10. HRI, Allahabad There will be Entrance exam followed by interview for the admission procedure. |
