Is marathi language compulsory for MPSC exam?
Hello sir...i don't know Marathi language very well...so is marathi compulsory for qualifying mpsc exam

Yes, Marathi language is compulsory for MPSC exam. It has 100 marks for Marathi language descriptive paper in Main exam.
MPSC exam detailed information is given below, MPSC (Maharashtra Public Service Commission) - is responsible for conducting exams for recruitments to various Maharashtra government departments. It is conducted in two stages, 1. Preliminary exam 2. Main exam After this, there will be interview as well. They conduct Preliminary exam in May - June and Main exam in October in same year. You just need to fill the MPSC form, they will intimate you regarding exact dates. Exam pattern Preliminary exam: Paper 1 - 2 hours - 100 marks - Objective type Paper 2 - 2 hours - 100 marks - Objective type Main exam: 1. GS paper 1 (Geography and History) - 150 marks - Objective 2. GS paper 2 (Indian constitution and Politics) - 150 marks - Objective 3. GS paper 3 (Human Resource Development and Human Rights) - 150 marks - Objective 4. GS paper 4 (Science and Technology, Economics) - 150 marks - Objective 5. Compulsory Marathi - 100 marks - descriptive 6. Compulsory English - 100 marks - descriptive Total: 800 marks Eligibility details are given below, Nationality Citizen of India and domicile in the Maharashtra state. Age Minimum 18 years, Maximum 33 years Relaxation: 2 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST/NT category Education Bachelor's degree from recognised university. However, they may give preference to law degree as well. Students in final year of graduation also eligible. Attempts Can appear any number of attempts within the age limit. |

MPSC stands for Maharashtra Public Service Commission.
MPSC conducts various competitive examinations at state level to recruit class 1 and 2 officers. MPSC civil services is conducted in three stages >Prelims >Mains >Interview There are two examination under Prelims >GS(General Studies) >CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test) Each paper consist maximum of 200 marks. Candidates qualified in Prelims with graduation degree in any subject from any recognized university are eligible to appear in Mains examination. There will be two language papers, Marathi and English subjective type and 4 GS papers 150 marks each. Candidates qualified in Mains also are called for interview then merit list is declared considering Mains and Interview marks. As it is clear that Marathi is compulsory in MPSC only in mains examination. There will be one paper of Marathi in which candidates need to write essay on any one of given topics. |

Yes, since MPSC short for Maharashtra public service commission basically for employees recruited for Maharashtra state on various governmental posts and Marathi is mother tongue of Maharastrian peoples that's why Marathi is compulsory in MPSC exam. There is no need to select subject, as optional subjects are removed.
In paper 2 , there are two parts: 1]comprehensions 2]Marathi and English language comprehensions. Based on 10th/12th level Marathi,candidate have to solve the related question. |
