Re: Marks required in AIEEE Paper I to get a seat in NITs?
In AIEEE there is no fixed marks for getting passed in exams,it all depends on the level and difficulty of the paper. In the year 2010 the paper was quite tougher than 2009 so the cut off marks was 55 for general in 2010 but was 100 for general in 2009.
But in IIT's there is a separate minimum cut off marks means you have to clear minimum cut off marks of Physics,Chemistry,Maths separately to clear the exam.If you clear any two subjects with very good marks but not able to clear the cut off for third one then you are not passed. For getting a good NIT you should score atleast 270-300 marks but if you score more than that then you can definately get top NIT like NIT Trichy,NIT Warangal. Tip:Concentrate more on Chemistry mainly Organic (from NCERT) because it is a scoring subject than Physics and at last Maths because it takes more effort but if you are good at maths than you can go for it first also. Try to solve as many questions as you can and also concentrate on 8 marks questions. |

Re: Marks required in AIEEE Paper I to get a seat in NITs?
there is different marks required for general and reserved quota if you are belongs to any reserved quota then last year cut-off is 40marks for NIT .if you belong to general quota then you must get 200 then you got any NIT .because in general there is so much mob and you do too much fight for seat in NIT.
And this is also depend on no.of eligible candidates how much student qualify this exam then cut-off is clear.......... |

Re: Marks required in AIEEE Paper I to get a seat in NITs?
To get admission in NITs , your rank must be higher than 40,000 (All India Ranking). Well this is nit a particular situation about selection with this rank, its just an rough idea about getting seat among NITs. Further more if you are from SC/ST community than rank 70,000 will also get you admission.

Re: Marks required in AIEEE Paper I to get a seat in NITs?
this is one of the most common questions that we have received till now. So, i would say that the rank upto which central counseling call comes is the maximum rank for admission in NITs or say the respective minimum score. It ranges between 35000 to 40000 Rank.

Hi,
To get admission in top NITs through AIEEE examination you have to secure rank above 7,000 to 8,000. For these ranks you must score marks approximately above 250. So prepare well for AIEEE exam which is going to be held on 1st May 2011. All the Best... |

Re: Marks required in AIEEE Paper I to get a seat in NITs?
Le me tell you my dear friend that your marks decide your rank and your rank decides your admission.
So your seat in NIT depends in your rank If you manage to get aan all india overall rank of at least 2000 then you are a brilliant student and you can easily get a seat in NIT warangal or NIT trichy. However that is not the end of the story. If you come within 20000 even there is a chance that you will get a seat in NIT like NIT durgapur, NIT jamshedpur. However if you come within 25000-30000 then neither will you get a good NIT nor will you get good streams like mechanical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering. Generally if your marks in AIEEE is >225 then your rank will be <15000. best of luck!!! |
