Re: How to prepare best for Aptitude Exam?
Quantitative Aptitude has become a part of many of the competitive examinatinos which will be conducted all over India. The mental ability of a candidate is going to be improved a lot by practicing aptitude regularly.
To be strong enough in Quantitative Aptitude, one should have strong practice for the same. Practice makes you perfect. By practicing different kind of problems, you can reduce the time that you will take to solve a problem. In addition, you can develop mind calculations in the sense without putting pen on the paper, you can do calculations and will decide which choice the answer is. Due to this, you can save time which will be very vital for the candidate in the competitive examinations. If you use the time judiciously, you can answer more number of questions and you can save time through which you can try to solve the questions which were difficult to you. If you have repeated practice, just by having a glance over the question, you can know the answer for that. That much importance is there for the practice from the point of Quantitative aptitude. I suggest you to use R.S.Agarwal publications of Quantitative Aptitude which will cover all the model of problems that will be asked in competitive examinations. Practice at least 2-3 hours a day for this aptitude. Better to prepare for this in the early morning time. Practice various model question papers and previous year question papers of the competitive examination which you are going to appear for. Practice more questions for which you are taking a little more time. Be strong enough in short cuts and be thorough with standard formulas. Wish you all the best. |

Re: How to prepare best for Aptitude Exam?
Quantitative aptitude has become a part in the selection process of the campus placements as well the admissions process of higher education. With an ample preparation and effective time management i think this section can be cracked well. With slight differences between the different institutes most of the topics that are dealt in common are as follows:
>>speed and distance >>Percentages -profits and loss-partnerships >>number systems >>quadratic equations >>Averages - mixtures -Alligations >>Simple and compound Interest >>Geometry and mensuration >>permutations and combinations >>probability >>data interpretation >>Data sufficiency Try to prepare these topics first. Try to cover different models of problems given in the same topics. Instead of trying to solve all the problems for practice solve the different models.Try to improve your calculation speed Practice as many mock tests as you can Some preferred books: Quantitative aptitude by R.S Agarwal TIME material for Quantitative ability. This will be given for the students as a part of CAT/MAT preparation. |

Re: How to prepare best for Aptitude Exam?
dear friend,
Now I have mentioned some books for Aptitude section and how to prepare this section : Aptitude Test : For this section you must Read and Practice the following books very well : * Quantative Aptitude Test by R.S.Agarwall, * Verbal Reasoning Series by R.S.Agarwall, * Quantative Aptitude by Sharma & Sharma (if you have time to practice.) Generally Aptitude test for Infosys are consist of two sub-section which are : * Mathematical Portion and * English Portion. All mathematical aptitude question are comes from Quantative Aptitude Test by R.S.Agarwall.So you have to practice it very well ( without leaving any chapter ). All English aptitude question are comes from Verbal Reasoning Series by R.S.Agarwall. But this book have so many chapter. So from there you have to practice only Synonyms and Antonyms portion very well because Infosys set mainly these two portion very well. This is all about aptitude test preparation. good luck. |
