The maximum age limit to appear for Karnataka Administrative Service is :
30 years for candidates belonging to general category
33 years for candidates belonging to OBC category
35 years for candidates belonging to Sc/St category.

KPSC KAS Exam 2012

This is Karnataka public service commission notification. KPSC invites applications to fulfill the vacancies in Karnataka Administrative Service. The KPSC vacancy 2012 is for the following posts
KPSC KAS Group A application 2012
KPSC KAS Group B application 2012
KAS Officers or Gazetted Probationers vacancy

The candidates those who are interested and having the eligibility can apply for KPSC KAS Exam 2012.

The preliminary exam of Karnataka Administrative Services and Karnataka Civil Services will be at the end of February 2012 and the KAS main exam date will be on the second week of June.

KAS exam Pattern :

There are two papers
the question will be in both kannada & English
200 questions carry 400 marks

Paper I :
National/International/current affairs carries 80 marks total 40 questions
Paper II:
Arts /humanities/history carries 120 marks total 60 questions

KAS (Main) Exam pattern :

it contains 8 papers carrying 2100 marks
P-I compulsory kannada - 150 marks
p-II compulsory english - 150 marks
p-III general studies (p I) - 300 marks
p-IV general studies (p II) - 300 marks
P-V,VI,VII&VIII: out of 30 selective subjects two subjects should be selected
each subject cantains two papers carrying 30marks each paper

KAS ( Kernataka Administrative service ) post for hold the Administration of the Kernataka state . KAS exam has almost same as like of the IAS exam which is the central union public service.

KAS exam for the posts in the group a and group B in various departments of the Karnataka.

Eligibility for the KAS :

Educational Qualification:; you should be passed the graduation in any bachelor degree from any recognized university.

Age limit: age must be between the 21 to 30 years . 5 years age relaxation for the Sc/St and 3 years age relaxation for the OBC ..

NAtionality: Indian citizen.

SElection process for the KAS post:

KAS - Karnataka Administrative Service conducted by Karnataka Public Service Commission(KPSC) every year.

The maximum age limit for KAS is 30 years for Generak Category candidate which is relaxed for OBC candidate up to 3 years and for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years.

So the candidate from different category can appear for KAS as follows:-

General Category - 21 to 30 years

OBC candidate - 21 to 33 years

SC/ST candidate - 21 to 35 years

Besides the candidate having completed Graduation can apply for KAS.
