friend pcs stands for public service commision and these exams are state specifis that is each nstate conducts its own pcs exam hence the age limit also varies from state to state.for some state it is 28,for some 30 and for some its 35.hence to gain more knowledge u have to visit the state publis service commision sites of each state.

The eligibility criteria for PCS is as follows:

1.Age limits :

21-30 years as on 1.7.2011. (Upper age limit relaxation for SCs/STs, OBC's and defense personnel).

SC/ST/PD - upto a maximum of 5 years.

OBC - upto a maximum of 3 years.

Defense personnel - upto a maximum of 5 years.


2. Educational Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in any stream by a recognized university.

*Must be an INDIAN
*AGE-21 to 30 years
5 years relax for SC/ST candidate

* Relaxation for SC/St category candidates up to 21-35 years.
* Relaxation for OBC category candidates up to 21-33 years.
* Candidates should have complete graduation from a recognized university.

* For SC/ST - No limit
* For OBC - 7 attempts.
* For General - 4 attempts.
