I would like to know whether the 50% required to study MA in English is the aggregate of all three years of whatever we get in Calcutta University. I am now in my third year,studying B.A in Loreto College,Kolkata.

The minimum percentage of marks for doing M.A in English is 45% in graduation and 40% for sc/st category.But admission is based upon the entrance test conduted by calcutta university.

If you have scored more than 65% in B.A in English from a recognized University then you are eligible for M.A in English in Calcutta University.

Your age should be above 17 years.
