Civil Services Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission Eligibility Criteria for Civil Exam : The Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill eligibility conditions for admission to examination. Their admission to all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of admission certificate to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by the commission. commission take up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the candidate has qualified for interview/Personality test. Academic Eligibility for Civil Exams : ** The candidate must hold a degree of any of universities incorporated by an Act of the Central of State Legislature in india of other educational institutions established by and Act Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under section -3 of the University grant commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification. ** candidates who have appeared or intend to appear for the qualifying examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear for the Preliminary Examination. All such candidates who qulaify to appear for the Civil Services Main Examination must produce proof of having passed the said examination along with their application for the Main Examination Age Eligibility ** Candidates age should between 21 to 30 years and age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC Candidates as under Nationality : ** Candidates should be a citizen of India |

Optional subject for civil service examination:- The eligibility criteria for the civil service examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any discipline from any recognised colege or university. * Age limit- 21-30 yrs for General, 21-33 yrs for OBC, and 21-35 yrs for SC/ST contendors. * Nationality- Indian. * No. of attempts- 4 for General, 7 for OBC and no limits for SC/ST contendors.
