The minimum percentage of marks required required in 12th Board, to be considered eligible for Joint Entrance Exam conducted by Indian Institutes of Technology, is as follows:

• For candidates belonging to General and OBC category: 60%
• For candidates belonging to SC/ST category: 55%

The maximum age limit for the same are as follows:

For candidates belonging to General and OBC category: 25 years
For candidates belonging to SC/ST category: 30 years

To get admission in medical colleges you need to appear in exams like AIPMT (All India pre medical test) or state level exams that are conducted such as UPMT (For UP colleges), HPMT (for Haryana medical colleges), DPMT (Delhi), CET (IPU) etc

Minimum marks eligibility to appear for these exams is :
For general category 60% or above in 12th exam
For SC/ST categories 50% or above in 12th std.
