Hi sir i want to become a Cid Officer. Please, tell me that what is the minimum qualification required? Anyone please give better idea or call 7658995230.

The minimum qualification required to join as a constable in the CID is 12th.For Sub Inspector and officer level post candidate must have graduation degree.

To join the Crime Investigation Department, you must appear in the Indian Civil Services examination that is held by the Union Public Service Commission.Every year the union public service commission is conduct the civil services examinations.

One who wishes to join CID as officer should apply for SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination. SSC conducts the entrance exam every year for making recruitment in CID department.

CID is an acronym for Criminal Investigation Department.

Eligibility criteria :-

=> Academic qualification required for this exam is graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

=> The candidate age limit to apply for the exam should be in between 20 years to 27 years.Age is relaxed for OBC candidates by 3 years and 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for PwD candidate.

=> The selection procedure for the CID involves of

* Written test,

* Physical test, and

* Interview.

Syllabus for the exam :-

Reasoning,

English Language,

Quantitative Aptitude,

General Knowledge and

Computer Knowledge.

Physical Requirements:-

Height:

For male candidate - 165 cms.
For female candidate -150 cms
Height is relaxed for Hill men and Tribals by 5 cms.

Chest : 76 cms with expansion.

Eye-Sight (with or without glasses)

Distant Vision :6/6 in one and 6/9 in other eye.
Near Vision:0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye

Minimum qualification required to become a CID officer:-

To become CID officer you must qualify the Indian Civil Services Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

Minimum qualification required to apply for this examination is completing a degree course from a recognized Institution.

Age criteria:-

For all other posts – 18 years to 27 years.

If you have qualify in below given stages then you are eligible for the post of CID recruitment exam.

1)SSC CGL Tier I

2)SSC CGL Tier II

3)Medical test

4)Physical test

CID stand for Criminal Investigation Department. For joining CID post you need to join Police department first and then through the Police department you will be able to join as a CID Officer.

But for joining police department you need to have basic eligibility :

1. Candidate should have completed his/her graduation in any discipline.

2. Candidate minimum age should be 21 years but not more than 30 years.

3. Candidate should be physically fit.

UPSC conduct IPS examination every year.

Selection of a candidates is done on three stages:

1. Written Test
2. Interview
3. Physical fitness and medical test.

For being a CID officer you have to complete your graduation first. After that you are eligible for the IPS exam which is conducted by UPSC. After passing in written exam you will be called for a interview. And after passing in the interview you have to go for your training. Once you complete the training then you will be eligible for sub inspector post. Thanks

To Join CID department, you must have minimum qualification of graduate from any stream or further higher education.
After completing your graduation you can apply for the SSC-CGL (Combined Graduation Level) exam. This exam contains of 200 question and the time period for the exam is 2 hours.
If you got the marks above from cut off in this exam than you are eligible for the second exam.
And after clear the second exam you will call for the interview round.
The candidates who successfully completed the interview round and got selected in interview may go for the document verification round . And after all these rounds the candidate will join there departments.

To become a CID Officer , You will require to qualify the entrance exam conducted by UPSC.
