your height is OK for the IPS

the only thing is that you have to clear the exam of CIVIL SERVICES

then according to your ranking you will get your field after cracking an interview also.

yea you're perfectly eligible for IPS post

all you have to do is you have to get all the manly measurements

like

increasing the broadness of chest

increasing the height if possible

getting good physique in V shape

six pack is preferable if not also its not an issue

to get through the exams you need nearly 1 and half year

so that in those gaps also you can do all these but remember one thing in interview which is the last stage of examination you have to satisfy the board of interviewers

Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) - 160 cm
Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm

and in inch it can be 65 inches for GENERAL And you are having 5 feet 7 inches that is nothing but 67 inches so you are absolutely eligible !!!

Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm

Chest -
Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.
(Those can't expand the chest go to next service. If expansion is less during 1st Medical, i.e. just after interview; during second Medical, i.e. after the result, or appeal, expansion can be shown.)

Many people fail in this test of chest expansion. (I know some people who have cleared this exam during the second Medical Test, i.e. after the Medical Exam conducted after the declaration of Final result)

Eye sight - 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.
Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye.
The correction is by lenses only.
High standard for the Colour-blind test.
No inherent night blindness.
Vision should stereoscopic.

Blood pressure (High) - Age 23 - 123, age 24 - 124, age 25 -122, age 28 - 124, age 30 -125, age 32 - 126, age 34 - 127.

Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test.

Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity.
1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.

Height is OK but there are other physical conditions that you need to pass. there should not be any physical defect which can alter the working capabilities of an IPS police officer. You should be medically and physically fit and need to clear Civil Services exam to become IPS officer.

"Near vision J1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye."

This means N6 and N10 respectively in the Indian system in which ophthalmologists' near vision chart is graded.

there are relaxations for reserved category and pahari people.
There are more physical criteria to be met::

The eligibility criteria for UPSC-CSE exam is a
Graduate degree minimum,students in the final year of their
graduation can also apply,on provisional basis provided they present
proof of passing before the MAIN exam.
IPS officers are selected through CSE itself .. you should be in around
200 rank in INDIA to get IPS cadre.
further the age limit for IPS is 21 to 30 years of age(general with
5 years relaxation for obc and not age limit for SC/ST)
you will have to fulfill physical criteria as well..
165 cm height minimum(160 cm for Pahari males and ST
