Is NET an essential eligibility criterion for lectureship, keeping in view the 9/12/2010 verdict of Delhi High Court?

The basic eligibility criteria is net or set to be a lecturer.
Survey suggest a new test called tet ( teacher eligibility test ) for the ones who have keen interest in teaching.
You can even try for that.

Yes NET Examination was compulsory, If you are interested to become a lecturer in colleges and universities and UGC has already announced that the National Eligibility Test would become the basic criterion for the appointment of lecturers in universities and colleges.

But After clear the NET examination you are awarded for the Junior Research Fellowship. But if you have cleared the NET examination then you will become a lecturer in some top Colleges in India Because in now a days many colleges will recruits the NET Qualified Candidates.

So, If your aim is to become Lecturer then please apply for NET examination But only master degree candidates who have scored minimum 55% Marks are eligible for NET Examination.

Hello friend .......

Ya of course NET (National Eligibility Test) is really required as an essential criteria for the lectureship .
The UGC (University Grant Commission) has made it compulsory for the recruitment of the lecturer in the various recognized colleges or the universities .

So the candidates who want to become the lecturer has to clear the NET exam first .

The eligibility for the NET exam is a master degree from any of the discipline from a recognized university or college with a minimum of the 55% of the marks .

The NET exam is generally held twice a year one in the month of the June and the other in the month of the December ...
The June exam has been over so you can give the December exam ....
But the notification of the December exam has not yet been declared yet ...

For the other information and the date of the notification you can visit the official website ::http://www.ugcnetonline.in
