Is NIOS senior secondary exam recognised by colleges for degree courses?

Normally NIOS certificates are recognised across India, but the reputed universities and colleges avoids because they prefer regular board exam candidates over open board exam candid. So, apply to universities or colleges of normal repute and they will accept it. But in case of entrance exam admission to colleges or universities does follow such norms they focus only on the entrance exam marks.

NIOS +2 certification is not recognized by all universities or degree colleges.

The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has granted equivalence to NIOS courses with those of other recognized Boards for the purpose of admission to higher courses of study at Indian Universities.
