Please send me the syllabus, exam paper pattern ,books for preparation,and previous papers of AFCAT (air force common admission test)

This year first time AFCAT is conducting.There is no certain syllabus,paper is combination of Verbal Ability,Numerical Ability,Reasoning,General Awareness and Aptitude.Presently no books available in market.

how can i prepare for afcat exam and which books r preferred,what is syllabus pattern

AFCAT : The syllabus of AFCAT exam is basically is of secondary school examination
It is important that you prepare well before sitting in AFCAT. There is a fixed pattern of the entrance exam which has to be known before to clear it.
The entrance test will be of two hours duration and will contain multiple choice questions on :
· verbal ability,
· numerical ability,
· reasoning,
· general awareness and
· aptitude.

The exam pattern of AFCAT consists of objective type questions from 5 sections namely:

Numerical ability
Verbal ability
Reasoning
General Awareness
General Aptitude

The exam will be of 2 hours duration consisting of about 100 questions.

SYLLABUS FOR AFCAT
(a) General Awareness – History, Sports, Geography, Environment,
Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc.

(b) Verbal Ability in English – Comprehension, Error Detection,
Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary.


(c) Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit
& loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest.

(d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Verbal Skills and Spatial
Ability.

EXAM PATTERN OF AFCAT
The AFCAT exam consist of 100 questions and the duration of examination
is 2 hrs. For every correct answer candidate will get 3 marks.
For every wrong answer one marks is deducted.

AFCAT syllabus generally include

Reasoning,
Verbal ability,
General Awareness ,
Numerical ability & General Aptitude


You should have a good command over them because the exam consist of objective question with a span of 2 hours only

And you have to smartly answer all those question because every question consists of 3 marks and your one mark will be deducted for 1 negative answer

The courses for which you can apply are:

-Flying Branch
-Technical Branch
-Ground Duty Branches

It is advisable not to but any extra books for preparing AFCAT....

the syllabus of AFCAT is same as the syllabus of various competitive exams like LIC, BANK PO, MBA entrance exams...

So I would suggest you to follow those competitive books.....

It will be sufficient for AFCAT exam.

Follow any BANK books and you can easily crack the exam...
