will you plz tell me the pattern of online test of cpt?

Hello friend,
The online CPT exam is conducted in two sessions
1.Morning session
2.Evening session
The questions in the examination will be of objective type and there will be negative marking for each wrong answer.

The subjects that will be tested in the examination are as follows
Accounting
Mercantile Law
General Economics
Quantitative Aptitude

Hi Molly,

The online pattern of the CPT test will be fully objective and the paper will be totally in English.

There will be negative marking in the test.
For every wrong answer one-forth marks is deducted.

So you have to be careful about that.

CA-CPT entrance examination tests the candidate’s knowledge in four sections, which comprises of Accounts, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. It is of 200 marks in total, Accounts section is of 60 marks, Mercantile Laws fetches 40 marks, while General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude section is of 50 marks each. The test is divided into two sections of two hours each. All the questions are of objective type with multiple choice answers. Negative marking is there for every wrong answer.

The CPT ( common proficiency test ) is held twice a year on a Sunday in the months of June and December every year.

I want to tell you that CPT ( common proficiency test ) is an objective type test comprising of 4 subjects ..

::: These subjects are as follows :::

~Fundamentals of Accounting – 60 marks,

~Mercantile Laws – 40 marks,

~General Economics – 50 marks ,

~Quantitative Aptitude - 50 marks.

i.e. a total of 200 marks and it is conducted online across it's designated examination centers all over India .

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India conducts Common Proficiency Test Two times in a year. So, if you have paased your 12th examination from any recognized Board, then you are eligible to apply in this exams.

Examination Pattern for CPT Exams -

The entrance test consists of objective type questions.

The medium of all the questions and instructions is English.

The question paper follows negative marking scheme, which means one fourth mark is deducted for every wrong answer.

i had given a june 2010 attempt of cpt but unfortunately it's not clear! can i give the online exam of cpt which is goiing to be held on 18th september2010?

rough papers for online exam wil be provided by examination centers or we should arrange by our own

THE EXAM PATTERN FOR CPT AS FOLLWS:
1.fundamental accounting-60 marks
2.mercantile laws-40marks
3.general economics-50marks

I have heard that in online exam once we choose the option and click on it,we can't change the answer again if we want ..so is that true?and I have the habbit of solving the law paper 1st and then accounts can I do in the same way in online test too?
