Yes physical test is necessary in Indian Navy.
PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST for Indian Navy Sailors. The standard of PFT is 1 Mile run to be completed in 7 minutes followed by 20 sit ups and 10 push ups.
Physical Standards for Indian Navy Sailors
Height: 157 cms (minimum) for 18 years of age
Weight: Proportionate to height (+-10 percent acceptable)
Chest: Well developed and proportioned with minimum expansion range of 5 cms
Without glasses better eye 6/6 and worse eye 6/9. Colour Perception: CP II
Good mental and physical health, free from any disease/disability.

Yes Physical test is necessary for Indian Navy. INDIAN NAVY is the one of the Indian Defense forces. A position in Indian Navy is ver prestigious. To be a part of Indian Navy the candidates can take NDA or CDS examination.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

1)Educational Qualification:
>>NDA stand for National Defense Academy. for NDA examination you need to pass 10+2 with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board.
>>CDS stands for Combined Defense Service. for CDS examination you need to a bachelor degree in stream like B.Sc or engineering.

2)Age Limitation:
>> for NDA it is between 16.5-19 years.
>>for CDS it is between 19-22 years.

3)Physical Fitness:

Height-157cm for male and 152cm for female.

Weight-minimum 50kgs.

Hearing-good hearing capacity. must be able to hear 610cm.

Skin-no skin diseases.

Eyes-
>distant vision without glasses better eye 6/6
>distant vision without glasses worst eye 6/9
>limit of myopia is -o.5
>limit of hypermetropia +o.5
>no color blindness.
>Binocular vision-III

In the physical test of Navy is generally 1 mile to be completed in 7 minutes along with 20 pushups and 10 situps. regular exercise is needed for passing in the physical eligibility test.

Yes, Off course there is Physical Test is Necessary for joining Indian Navy, Because as part of Indian Navy A candidate must have Physically fit.......

You are Confuse About Physical Test Let me Clear you about that........

Physical Test means Test of Your Ability, Ability of Your Body and Your Mental Ability......

There are Various Test of you body like Your Eyesight, Hearing Power, Running, Your Height, Your Weight etc........

Minimum Physical Requirement for Qualifying:


>> Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 Cms expansion......

>> A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health.... .

>> Should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes........

>> He should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye......

>> Colour vision should be CP-III. .....

>> Should recognize red and green colours......

As you have not mention your Educational Qualification so, I am Not Exactly able you to tell about that but, there are Two Ways to join Indian Navy 1). Through NDA and 2). Through CDS......

>> If you have completed your 12th Science with Group-A Subjects and Your Age is between 16.5 to 19 years then you are eligible for NDA.......

Marital Status:

Only Unmarried Male are Eligible........

Nationality:

Citizenship of INDIA.......

CDS stands for Combined Defense Service

>> If you have completed your Graduation Degree in any field then you are eligible for applying CDS Exam........

Age Limit:

• For Indian Military Academy : 19-24 Years
• For Air Force Academy : 19-23 Years
• For Naval Academy : 19-22 Years
• For Officers’ Training Academy :19-25 Years
