AIIMS stands for All India Institute of Medical Science and AIIMS MBBS entrance examination is held for offering admission in MBBS degree course in any of the AIIMS.

The minimum eligibility criteria required for appearing in the same examination are as here under :-

i) You must be an Indian citizen with your age lying with 17 years to 25 years by the 31st December of that year in which you are going to appear in the same examination.

ii) You must have completed your higher secondary school degree with PCB stream along with English as main subjects with at least 60% aggregate from a recognized board. Marks relaxation of 10% is applicable for reserved category candidates.

So as you have mentioned that your age is under 17 years now but if your age crosses 17 years by 31st December 2017 then you can apply for AIIMS MBBS entrance examination otherwise not.

Further there is no limit of attempts for appearing in the same examination and a candidate is allowed to appear in the examination till he/she satisfies the eligibility criteria.
