Possibility to switch from 8th standard CBSE Board to 9th standard ICSE Board?
Hi, I am presently studying in 8th standard and will be moving to 9th standard in this year. I am studying in a school affiliated to CBSE Board's curriculum. However, I wish to change my school and take admission in 9th standard in any school affiliated to ICSE Board's curriculum. Can I do so? Is it allowed?

You are allowed to change your board in 9th standard after passing 8th standard from other board.
According to the use the candidate has to pass both 9th and 10th standard from same board. However, while changing your board you will need a migration certificate from the previous board. |

Yes, it is allowed to change board in 9th standard if you have Migration certificate.
Therefore, you are eligible to change your board from CBSE to ICSE in 9th standard but make sure you pass your 10th standard with ICSE board only because it is mandatory to pass both 9th and 10th standards with same board. |
