The civil services examination is basically a test to choose suitable administrators. It tests the candidate right from the stage when one starts the preparation.

The ias exam are held around May-June.It has objective ie multiple choice questions. There are two papers (duration of each being 2 hrs). a) General studies and b)Optional subject.
