Procedure to join Indian Navy for 9th student?
I am a student of 9th standard. I have a dream to become a Navy Officer in Indian Navy. So, I would like to know that how I can join Indian Navy?

No, you are not eligible for recruitment as an officer in Indian Navy after 9th std.
NDA is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. The examination is conducted for recruitment as an officer in defence services. The eligibility for appearing in entrance examination for recruitment as Navy officer is that candidate must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main paper. Only male candidates are eligible. The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years. The examination is conducted in two stages as Written and SSB. So, you have to pursue till 12th std to appear for NDA examination. To join Indian Navy, you have to appear in NDA examination which is conducted by UPSC. The minimum educational qualification required to apply for UPSC NDA examination is completion of 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics subjects from a Government recognised board. You should be in the age range of 16.5 to 19.5 years. You should be an unmarried male candidate and should be physically and mentally healthy. So, being a 9th standard student, you have to pursue your 10th standard and HSC to be eligible to appear in NDA examination for joining in Indian Navy.

No you are not eligible to appear in NDA examination with 9th std qualification.
NDA examination is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted twice in a year. The examination is conducted for recruitment in defence service. The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board. Only male candidates are eligible. The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years. UPSC conducts NDA entrance examination for recruitment in defence service. The examination is conducted for recruitment as an officer in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.
The eligibility to appear for Navy officer is : Candidate must have passed 12th or pursuing from a recognised board. Candidate age must be between 16.5-19.5 years. Only male candidates are eligible. Note :- Candidate must have 12th in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main paper. The examination is conducted in two stages as Written and SSB. You have to wait till you have the sufficient qualification to appear for examination. For detail information regarding examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

You can not join Indian Navy after ninth standard. There are some posts available for which you can apply after tenth standard. To become officer in Indian Navy, NDA/NA examination is there at senior secondary level.
Academic qualification: Senior Secondary board exam passed or appearing with PCM subjects. Age criteria: 16.5-19.5 years. Only unmarried male candidates can apply. NDA/NA is conducted by UPSC twice every year. |

No you are not eligible to join the Indian Navy after the 9th standard. To join the Indian Navy the candidates have to qualify in the NDA examination.
The examination is conducted by the UPSC and the required qualification to appear for the examination is candidates must have passed or pursuing the 10+2 examination with the PCM as main subject in the examination. So, you are not eligible to join before appearing for the 10+2 examination and age of candidate must be less than the 16.5-19.5 years. |

You can join as an officer in Indian Navy after the higher secondary board examination.
National Defence Academy/Naval Academy entrance examination for candidates who want to join different wings of Defence as an officer after 12th. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics should be compulsory subjects in 12th to be eligible for Indian Navy. The age limit for candidates of all category is 16.5-19.5 years. Female candidates are not eligible for NDA exam. |

I am impressed with your interest in the Navy as you want to join as fast as possible. But sorry to say you that you are not eligible for the recruitment in the Indian Navy as per qualification.
The eligibility criteria to join the Indian Navy is candidate need to qualify in the NDA entrance examination conducted by UPSC twice every year. The required qualification to appear for the examination is: Candidate must have passed the 10+2 from a recognized board. Candidate age must be between 16.5 to 19.5 years. Candidate must have PCM as main paper for the Air Force or Navy. So, you have to complete your 10+2 to appear for the examination. This exam is conducted in two stages and candidates after qualifying in each are eligible for the next stage. There is different cut off for every year examination. |

A long way to go for you to become eligible for the entrance exam to join Indian Navy. Union Public Services examination conducts National Defence Academy for Army, Navy and Air Force.
Candidates who pass 12th board exam from science stream with Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects are eligible for NDA/NA examination for Navy wing. The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years. After tenth standard, you should opt science stream and select PCM subjects. |
