what is the procedure of joining the National Defense Acadamy

to join into national defense academy you have to apply for NDA exam,
if you clear the written test then you have to go for an ssb,after that you will be selected for nda,

How To Join NDA ?

Eligibility Criteria To Join NDA-

If you are unmarried and pass with 12th class and your age
is between 16 1/2 to 19 years. then you can join nda.

Selection Procedure-

The process of selecting cadets for the National Defence Academy is split into three phases-

A written examination held by the Union Public Service Commission.
An interview by the Service Selection Board to assess a candidate's officer potentialities.
A medical examination by a Service Medical Board.

The only one process for getting in the National Defense Academy is NDA Entrance examination. It is conducted by UPSC every year.This year one exam held on 18th apr and the other will held on 22 aug 2010.

The age limit for NDE entrance is 16-21.

Educational Qualifications :

(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

there are many ways to join NDA depending upon your qualification :-

1.if you have completed 12 with pcm...then you are eligible for two types of entries :-

(a) you can appear for NDA exams conducted twice in a year.....ie NDA-1 and NDA-2.....the applications are released along with the procedure in the employment newspaper.....after the exam if you clear it you will be called for SSB interview for a week .......which has two stages.....screening on the first day and conference on the 5th day.....after that if you clear all the tests then you will be called for medicals for a week time or more....... and after 3-4 months final merit list is declared .....if you see your name there ...start packing your bags as you will be very soon called to NDA...

(b) you can also apply for technical entry on the basis of your pcm % in 12th......
here you dont need to appear for a exam ...here you will be directly called for interview.....and the same procedure is followed.....

2.if you are a graduate then again you have two entries :-

(a) you can appear for CDS exam ....passing which you will be called for interview and the same procedure is followed...

(b) you can apply through UES entry where representatives are called to the college to organize a screening passing which you will be called for interview......

To join NDA first you will have to clear you 12th in Physics, chemistry and maths and the you will have to appear for an all india entrance test called NDA. Its quite tough so better be prepared for the test.

Then there is a physics test where they will test you whether you are fit for the course. If you pass with flying colours the you can surely get through NDA

NDA is one of the hardest exam in India,but not to worry, you can crack.all you have to do is after 12th with more than 59 % of marks you can to sit for the exam, advertisement will be given in the "Employment News" ,its a central level exam.there are many coaching centers in the country like TIME,TIMES,CARRIER LAUNCHER etc.go and join one them you will surely be helped.

Guys in the age range from 16.5 to 19, who has passed out 12th or equivalent course can apply for NDA entrance exam conducted by UPSC. Short listed students need to appear for an interview by SSB and then a medical test. you can get chance in Defense in three ways

1.through NDA exam.

2.through UES. which exam you can appear in the final year of your btech.

3.through UPSC exam. this exam you can appear after your graduation course.

Bca is a professional couse, not a degree course.so after completing bca u r not called as gratuated,so you are trying for tes(technical entry scheme last date 30july2011) exam if yr age is not more 19 1/2(2july1992to1995).another way is after completing graduation(from bsc,ba,bcom) you have to given cds(combine defence service) NOTE-there is no nda exam after graduation u fool

this test is taken after +2 .
and given by the student who has pass their + with pcm.

without it student can join defence academy after their graduation

How To Join NDA

if you are a 12th pass-out and within the age limit of 16.5 - 19 years then you are eligible to write the NDA exam..
you have to be a 12th pass-out with PCM as your subjects for navy or air force but for army..any stream or subject is fine..

you can give the exam if you are physically fit and you have a perfect eyesight..you should not be colorblind too..

you have to first,pass the written exam then the interview and then the medical examination round in order to join any of the armed forces..

Eligibility criteria For Army Wing of NDA:-

Candidate must be 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Other criteria:

1. The candidate should be between 16-1/2 to 19 years of age

2. Your marital status should be single.

3. You should be a citizen of India.

So if you fulfil the criteria, you are eligible for NDA.

syllabus of NDA exam:-

Mathematics :- This paper consists of general mathematical topics till the+2 standard.

General Mental Ability:- General Mental Ability paper consists quesions from Physics (100), Chemistry(60), General Science (40), History (80), Geography (80) and Current events(40)

Pattern of Written Exam:-

Mathematics---300---2-1/2Hr
General Knowledge---600---2-1/2Hr

NDA exam is held twice in a year normally in the month of April and September.

The admission for 2012 is already going on. The last date of application is 30.1.2012.

The written examination will be an objective type of duration 5 hours and total 900 marks including Mathematics (300) and General(600).
