Re: Qualification for Aeronautical engineering?
hello charles,
the eligibilty criteria are: 1.)10 + 2 Science; high percentage of marks in Science subjects and qualifying exam (JEE) To be an aeronautical engineer one should be a BE/B.Tech. in aeronautics. The Madras Institute of Technology offers a year postgraduate programme in aeronautical engineering for B.Sc. students. One can also study for M.Tech. and Ph.D. in aeronautics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. BY giving and qualifying AIEEE With good rank you can get into the NIT'S from where you can do Aeronautical engineering.... there are several other institutes from where you can do aeronautical engineering....... 1.)Indian Institute of Technology, Powai, Mumbai 2)IIT, Kharagpur 721302 (WB) - Four year B. Tech in Aerospace Engineering 3.)School of Aviation Science and Technology, Delhi Flying Club, Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi - http://www.delhiflyingclub.org/ - 4.)Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering IIAE, C-66, SECTOR-2, KESHAR SINGH MARG, DEFENCE COLONY, DEHRADUN-248001, UTTARAKHAND - http://www.iiaedehradun.org - BTEC HND Aerospace Engineering In Partnership & International Affiliation with City of Bristol College United Kingdom. 5)Indian Institute of Aeronautics, Patna Airport, Patna 800014 (Bihar) Approved by Airworthiness Authority of India - Aircraft Maintenance Engineering 6.)Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh 160011 7.)VSM INSTITUTE OF AEROSPACE ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY, C.A. No.15/1-A, 13th A Main, Sector 'A' Yelahanka New Town Bangalore 560 064 - http://www.agragami.in - REGIONAL TRAINING CENTRE for Aerospace Engineering for IGNOU and B.Tech. degree program in Aeronautical Engineering via AeSI........ best of luck 6.) |

Re: Qualification for Aeronautical engineering?
You have to appear for exams like EMCET or AIEEE after your 12th and go through the counseling after that. Based on your rank you may choose the subject in various colleges which provide aeronautic engineering. You can also buy a seat in management quote also, but writing the exams is important .

Re: Qualification for Aeronautical engineering?
Aeronautical engineering is same like any other branch in engineering and qualification also same for it..
Like IIT exam as minimum qualification for it is that candidate must have passed their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board. and One must pass out 12th class with minimum percentage of 51% and you must not passed 12th class in 2008 or before which makes a candidate not eligible to appear in AIEEE 2011. So you got that there is no special qualification for Aeronautical but yes you need to be very strong in maths... |

Re: Qualification for Aeronautical engineering?
In order to pursue a B.E. or B.Tech Course in Aeronautical Engineering, one needs to qualify the higher secondary examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with a good aggregate percentage. It is also mandatory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E.) which the IIT's conduct in January and May every year. Besides the IITs there are some other institutes which also conduct entrance examinations for the admission of students.

Re: Qualification for Aeronautical engineering?
to take admission in aeronautical engineering you have to appear in engineering entrance examination like admission in other engineering branch.
the qualification required to appear in most of the engineering entrance examination is candidate must pass 12th examination or equivalent with physics, chemistry and mathematics from a recognized board. the student appearing in the 12th examination in that year also eligible for the test. in few engineering entrance test there is minimum marks criterion of 50%. most popular engineering entrance examination is AIEEE, IIT JEE, WBJEE etc. also some other eligibility criterion are their for different examination like age limitation, number of attempt limitation etc. through counseling you will be able to take admission in aeronautical engineering. so try to do good rank to get admission in good institution. the scope and opportunity for aeronautical engineering is good enough. best wishes. |

Re: Qualification for Aeronautical engineering?
To be an aeronautical engineer one should have a graduate degree (B.E/B.Tech.) or at least a diploma in Aeronautics. The degree and postgraduate degree courses are offered by the engineering colleges and Institutes of Technology (IITs), and the diploma courses are available at polytechnics.
The basic eligibility criteria for a BE / B.Tech is 10+2 or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have a fairly high percentage of marks in the aggregate. One must also pass the qualifying exam JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) conducted by the IIT's. |

Entrance to the IIT's is through 'JEE' (Joint Entrance Exam) and for other institutions through their own separate entrance exams and other state level and national level exams. Most of the institutes conducting engineering courses in Aeronautics consider JEE score as the qualifying grade. Thanks.. |

Re: Qualification for Aeronautical engineering?
Hello ,
Qualification for Aeronautical engineering, Educational Requirements In order to become an aeronautical engineer, prospective candidates must complete a bachelor's degree program, usually in aerospace or aeronautical engineering. A program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) may be required to later earn licensure. Due to the range and breadth of classes, these programs may take 4-5 years to complete. Students typically begin their education by enrolling in core courses in mathematics, chemistry and physics. Additionally, most programs require students to complete introductory labs in which they test engineering principles applied to flight and propulsion. Once students have completed their core requirements, they may begin taking challenging classes that cover topics ranging from aerodynamics of airplane bodies to electrical systems in cockpits. After covering the fundamentals of flight and stability control, students may delve into aircraft sensors and electrical components, as well as wing structure and flaps. Programs may also provide training in power generation for aircraft, including combustion engine design. During the senior year of a bachelor's in aerospace or aeronautical engineering, students generally participate in lab and design courses. These courses may require research into issues ranging from construction materials to wing design. While completing their assignments, students may be responsible for simulating flight and modifying areas where designs may not function well. Applying their knowledge, students may then alter models, test designs and prepare class presentations. Licensure Requirements College graduates must take two examinations and accrue four years of work experience in order to become a licensed professional engineer (PE). Graduates only need to get their PE credential if they are going to work directly with the public. Graduates earn the title of engineer in training (EIT) after completing the first exam, which can be taken any time after schooling is complete. EITs may then begin on-the-job training, where they further their experience and understanding of aeronautical engineering. Once EITs have completed the required experience, they may take the second exam to become professional aeronautical engineers. thank you.......... |
