Hello, I have completed my 10th standard. I want to become a successful fashion designer. I want to ask you that what qualities must be there which is compulsory to become a fashion designer? Please answer me quickly.

The minimum required qualification to appear for entrance examination to get admission in Fashion designing course is:

Candidate must have passed 12th or diploma from a recognized board.

So, you have to pursue either diploma course or 12th to get admission in fashion designing course.

It is not necessary to have the best knowledge but must have good knowledge about drawing.

Eligibility Criteria for Fashion Designing course after 10th class:

The candidate should have minimum 50% marks in 10th class.

After that you can apply for the diploma in fashion designing course. I think you should apply for the degree course after diploma.

If you will do fashion designing course after 12th class then you can apply for degree course directly. For this you need minimum 50% marks in 12th class.

For getting admission you can also apply for NIFT exam. This exam is conducted for fashion designing course.

Personally I would like to suggest you that you must complete your 12th standard in any discipline from a recognised board and after that you have to appear in NIFT entrance test in order to get admission in top fashion designing college of our country. NIFT entrance Test stands for National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance test.
So it would be better for you to complete your 12th standard first.

Those candidates who want to become a fashion designer must complete his or her 10 + 2 from a recognised Board of Education with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and in English and have to prepare for the entrance exam such as NIFT, NID, PAF.

To pursue Fashion Designing course after 10th, you have to apply for Diploma in Fashion Design course.
You must have secured at least 50% marks in 10th to be eligible for this course. An entrance exam would be conducted before seeking admission. Entrance exam will contain basic General Studies, English and Mathematics questions of 10th standard.

After 10th you should pursue 12th board and then after you will be eligible to go for any course in Fashion Designing.
