sir, i am bachlor graduate from forward community (OC) and my date of birth is 07-01-1976. Also my father was an ex-serviceman. Is there any priority or age relaxtion to wrote VAO exam or any other tnpsc exam. please mail my Id [email protected]

TNPSC Group IV Exam Eligibility :

Candidates must have passed S.S.L.C public examination or its equivalent

Technical Qualification :

For Typist :

Must have passed the Govt Technical Exam in Typewriting

Higher / Senior Grade in English & Tamil

Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil & Lower / Junior Grade in English

Higher / Senior Grade in English & Lower / Junior Grade in Tamil

For Steno Typist Grade III :

Must have passed the govt technical exam both in typewriting & in Shorthand

Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil & English

Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil & Lower / Junior Grade in English

Higher / Senior Grade in English & Lower / Junior Grade in Tamil

Computer Qualification :

Candidate should have passed the certificate course in computer on office automation awarded by the Technical education department

The Eligibility criteria for TNPSC group 4 exam is,

Age Limit: For all the posts in Group 4 notification minimum age is 18 years.

The candidates upper age limit relaxations are given below
1 Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars), Scheduled Tribes and Destitute Widows of all caste - 35 Years

2 Most Backward Classes / DenotifiedCommunities., Backward Classes and
Backward Classes (Muslims) - 32 Years

3 “Others” [ i.e Candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs and BCMs ] - 30 Years

4 For the persons who are trained in Survey in ITI in Tamil Nadu, in respect of posts of Field Surveyor and Draftsman only - 35 Years

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent for all the posts given in the Group 4 notification.

Technical Qualification:

I. For Typist:

Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting

(i) Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or)

(ii) Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or)

(iii) Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil.


II. For Steno Typist Gr-III:

Must have passed the Government Technical Examination both in Typewriting and in

Shorthand

(i) Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or)

(ii) Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or)

(iii) Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil.

III. Computer Qualification (Typist & Steno Typist Gr-III): Candidate should have passed the Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation awarded by the Technical Education Department.
