NDA exam is conducted twice in year. This exam is conducted
by the UPSC. To apply for this examination a candidate should
be 10+2 pass and should have physics and maths for the
Indian Air force and Navy.

To prepare for upcoming NDA 1 examination you can follow the book "Pathfinder for NDA and NA Entrance Examination" which is a complete self study guide for NDA and NA examination. Pattern of NDA Entrance Examination

The subjects of the written examination,

• Mathematics 01 300
• General Ability 02 600

The time allowed

• Mathematics----2 1/2 hours
• General Ability-- 2 1/2 hours

and the maximum marks allotted subject

• Total Marks - 900

The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only.
The question papers of MATHEMATICS AND PART "b" OF GENERAL ABILITY TESTS will be set BILINGUALLY IN HINDI AS WELL AS English.

(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy : - 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for 10+2 (Cadet Entry Scheme) at Naval Academy : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University
