No, there is no chance of getting the admission in National Institute of Technology which is among best institutes for technical degree.

To get admission in the NIT, it is compulsory to qualify in JEE Main examination. The cut off for 2016 is 100 marks. So, you are not eligible for admission also your marks in board examination is not better.

So, you can try next time for admission in government colleges.

For your kind information i want to tell you that JEE evaluate the score by considering your 12th marks also. 40% weightage is given to intermediate marks while calculating the JEE rank. Your marks in JEE entrance exam are not bad. But you have scored average marks in your 12th class. So its not confirm that you will get admission in NIT. However every year cutoff changes so you should participate in the online counselling and try your luck for admission in NIT.

There is no chance for you to get admission in National Institute of Technology after securing only 84 marks in Joint Entrance examination and 60% marks in board examinations. You must know that this year cut off marks for open category candidate was 100 marks followed by OBC it was 70 marks and for SC category, it was 52 marks.

Even SC/ST candidates have little chance of getting admission in any NIT with 84 marks in JEE Main and 60% marks in 10+2.

No, you cannot get admission in NIT with 84 marks in JEE Main and 60% marks in your 12th standard. To get admission in NIT, you must have to score more than 300 marks in JEE Main and more than 90% marks in your 12th standard. Since, you have very less scores in both JEE Main and 12th standard, you cannot get admission in NIT.

Here is cut off marks of Joint Entrance Exam Main stage for candidates of different category:

1. General candidates: 100 marks out of 360.

2. OBC candidate: 70 marks.

3. ST: 48 marks.

4. SC: 52 marks.

These are qualfiying marks and JEE Main marks required for admission in NIT is far more than this cut off marks, on basis of your marks mentioned here, you will not be eligible to get admission in National Institute of Technology.

You have only scored 84 marks whereas cut off marks for Joint Entrance Examination Main was 100 marks for general students. It was 70 marks for OBC category candidates and for SC candidates it was 52 marks.

You have less marks in 10+2 board exams also. Depending upon your marks, you will not be able to get admission in any National Institute of Technology.
