Re: Seats for other state students for MBBS PG in medical colleges of Karnataka?
In the four government PG medical colleges of the state, 25 per cent is offered to the students selected through the All-India Entrance Exam, another 30 per cent under in-service quota and the remaining 45 per cent for general stream students. In the 13 private PG medical colleges, 50 per cent of the seats are set aside for merit students as per the Supreme Court verdict and the remaining are filled through management quota.

Hello friend,
Every year the admission criteria is changing in medical colleges for admission to MBBS courses. There are various govt and private institutes offering MBBS in different trends. You have to qualify in the CET entrance exam conducted by Karnataka Universities. The no of seats for other state students are different in institutes. You have to know that from the respective websites of the institutes. Good luck! |

Re: Seats for other state students for MBBS PG in medical colleges of Karnataka?
hi friend,
There is an entrance test , conducted each year named as COMDEK PGET , for admission in post graduation course in medical science. This is the only available for admission in Post graduation course. In this test if you do not belong to karnataka state directly or indirectly then you are not eligible for admission in any college through this test. If you are a domicile of karnataka state and can produce a minimum 10years living certificate there (in that case when you completed your MBBS degree outside Karnataka state) then you can take this test. However there are some relaxation for the central govt. employee's ward. However in some colleges in Karnataka, irrespective of this, 10% quota is fixed for non-state domicile candidates. |
