I am interested to know whether we can do an internship in the university of our choice in the winters???

You can do internships in the universities that offer an internship to your field in that vacation or whatever interval of time when you want to do your internship.
Moreover, these internships that universities offer are actually research oriented and research based.
For ex. Research of analytical data after some XYZ experiment etc.
The core topic of the research could be anything from Physics, Maths to Biology and Zoology.
So no matter what stream you are learning in you must have indepth knowledge in these fields and also especially your topic of research.
