For recruitment as a Deputy Inspector candidates have to appear and qualify in entrance examination for recruitment.

Recruitment to Indian Police Services is done through Civil Services examination. The eligibility criteria for this exam:

1. Bachelor's degree is the minimum academic qualification for this exam.

2. The age limit is 21-32 years.

You can join IPS after clearing all stages of Civil Services exam.
