Being a student of Class 10th and looking to pursue Civil engineering degree course in future you need to pursue your higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized board of examination.

Further for pursuing the same course from top engineering colleges like CFTIs ( IITs, NITs, IIIT, etc. ), state government engineering colleges, private colleges like VIT, SRM, BITS etc. you need to qualify their entrance examinations like JEE, State EEE/CET, VITEEE, SRMEEE, BITSAT, etc. . Also for details regarding these examinations you need to refer their respective official link.

If you want to do engineering then you should complete your intermediate in PCM group from a recognized board. Only after that you can give Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) which is an entrance exam for getting admission in B.Tech course. Thanks

Being a student of Class 10th and looking to pursue degree course in engineering i.e; Bachelor of Engineering / Technology degree course you need to pursue your Class 12th with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects from a recognized board of education. Students pursuing equivalent degree course i.e; diploma in engineering are also eligible.

Further to be eligible for admission in IIT, NIT, other CFTIs which are known for providing quality education in technical courses you need to qualify JEE ( Joint Entrance Examination ) and for appearing in the same your aggregate in Class 12th must be at least 75% ( 65% in case of SC/ST and PWD category candidates ).

Apart from CFTIs you can get admission in other government engineering colleges funded by concerned state government by qualify State CETS / EEE. Also you can get admission in top private engineering colleges like BITS, VIT, SRM, etc. by qualifying their respective entrance examinations which are BITSAT, VITEEE, SRMEEE, etc.
