Anna University conducts TANCET exam for the selection of eligible candidates  to PG courses like M.B.A, M.C.A. and M.E. / M.Tech /M.Arch / M.Plan. There will be 100 questions each for MBA and MCA TANCET. M.B.A entrance test covers questions on English Comprehension, Logical Ability, Arithmetic, Data Sufficiency, etc. Quantitative Ability, Analytical reasoning, Logical reasoning and Computer awareness are the main sections of M.C.A TANCET. TANCET for M.E. / M.Tech /M.Arch / M.Plan comprises of questions from the qualifying degree.

Eligibility Criteria

For Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) Course - Candidates who have completed qualifying exam in 10+2+3 pattern are eligible to apply for this course. Bachelor degree in Engineering or Pharmacy and A.M.I.E degree holders with 2-year experience can also appear for MBA TANCET exam. Open category candidates must possess minimum 50% marks in the qualifying exam. Those belonging to reserved category need to possess minimum of 45% marks only.

For Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A) Course - The minimum marks required to apply for TANCET for MCA is same as that for MBA course. Other qualification requirements includes 3-year bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as one of the subject in either HSC or graduation.

For Master of Engineering (M.E) / Master of Technology (M.Tech) / Master of Architecture (M.Arch) / Master of Planning (M.Plan) Course - Those who possess 50% marks in any of the following courses can apply for M.E. / M.Tech /M.Arch / M.Plan course (in concerned stream) under Anna University.

Application Procedure of TANCET

Eligible candidates who wish to attend TANCET must register for the same in advance. . A candidate can register for this exam in the following ways.

Spot Registration

Spot Registration is available through coordinating centers of Anna University. Necessary documents to be submitted at the time of registration include certificate copy of 10th or equivalent, certificate copy of XII class /diploma or equivalent, Application Fee in liquid cash/Demand Draft, and Caste Certificate (SC/SCA/ST candidates).

Internet Registration

In Internet registration, one must download the application form from the official website of Anna University. After filling the downloaded application form, the same needs to be send along with necessary documents (mentioned above) to the respective address.

Application fee for TANCET entrance test is Rs. 500/- for open category candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates. This can be paid either in the form of cash or DD taken in the name of Director of Entrance Examinations, Anna University.
