Is there any entrance exam to take admission in ICAI? What is the admission procedure and eligibility criteria? Please list eligibility for each and every group along with admission procedure for each and every group of ICAI course.

Yes, there is an entrance exam named CPT (Common Proficiency Test) for studying C.A. course. The eligibility requirements and application process for the exam are mentioned below.

The basic eligibility required for attending the exam is to complete 10+2 or its equivalent education from any recognised board.

CPT is an entrance exam conducted twice in every year in the month of June & December by ICAI.

Application process:
- First visit the official website of ICAI.
- Fill the application form with all the required details.
- Pay the registration fees through online or through DD.
- You’ll get an admit card.

Yes, to get admission in CA course, you have to appear in CPT examination which is conducted by ICAI. CPT stands for Common Proficiency Test. It is an entrance examination for getting admission in CA course. Candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a Government recognised board are eligible to appear in CPT examination. Candidates who have passed Bachelor's degree course in Commerce stream with at least 55% aggregate marks or in Non-Commerce stream with at least 60% aggregate marks from a Government recognised university are exempted from appearing in CPT examination and they can directly register for second level of CA course.

The full form of ICAI is Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. It is responsible for conducting entry level examination of Chartered Accountancy.

Any 12th passed candidate can apply for CPT examination to enter into CA course. You will get questions from subjects like Accountancy, Mercantile law, Economics and Aptitude.

ICAI stands for Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. And a chartered accountant is a person who accepted the membership of ICAI after clearing the final exam of Chartered accountants course conducted by ICAI.
And educational qualification required to join in CA course is pass in 12 th standard or an equivalent examination pass from government recognised college & there is no restriction with regards to percentage of marks secured. And there is no age limit to join in this course.
To join in CA course, first you have to take CA-CPT exam. And the candidates who are graduates and secured more than 60℅ of marks in Graduation or who have passed final exam of ICWAI are exempted from this CA-CPT examination.
And CA-CPT exam is conducted in 2 papers of 100 marks each & the subjects covered in these exams are

-> Mercantile laws
-> Quantitative aptitude
-> General economics.
