• You should be Graduate in any stream from recognized university.

if u have done ur degree then u can join the army by the following tests
1.CDS(combined defence service exam)
2.SSC(short service commission)
3.TGS(technical graduate courses)
4.UES(university entry scheme)
these r the tests which u can give after ur degree in b.tecgh
the eligiblity for all the tests are that the candidate should be b.tech degree holder
and age should be between 19 to 27 years
you can do these tests in final or pre final years all well

After B.Tech. you can join Indian Army through:-

You can apply
for INDIAN ARMY exam through CDSE , UES , NCC SPECIAL ENTRY ,AFCAT exam.

1. COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAM(CDSE)

This Exam is conducted by SSB.

Those candidate are completed graduation are eligible for CDSE exam but 12 standard subject must be Math and Physics.

B-TECH ans BE student are also eligible for this exam .But you have not any Pending Backlog.

Final Year student are also eligible for CDSE exam.There is no percentage marks criteria.

The age criteria for CDSE exam is given below.

Indian Military Academy - 19-24 Years
Air Force Academy - 19-23 Years
Naval Academy - 19-22 Years
Officer's Training Academy - 19-25 Years

2. UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME ( UES)

This exam is conducted by UPSC.

The candidate must be currently studying in Pre-final year of BE / B Tech degree course in the relevant streams of engineering as mentioned above and must have secured minimum of 60% marks in aggregate . But you have not any Pending Backlog.

Your age should be in between 18 to 28 years.

3. NCC SPECIAL ENTRY EXAM

Those candidate have completed graduation degree with above 50% marks are eligible for SSC exam.you must have citizenship of India.

Your age should be in between 19 to 25 years .

The criteria of NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders to appear directly for SSB for Short Service Course (Non Technical).

4. AFCAT EXAM

1.Flying branch :-

Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade, but must have maths and physics in 12th..

Candidates age should be in between 19-23 years.

2.Technical branch:-

Candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering field.

Age should be in between 18-28 years.

3.Ground duty branch:-

Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade.

Age should be in between 20-27 years.

DEAR CANDIDATE,

After B.tech if you want to join Indian defense services then dear you have to go through CDS exam to join it. the educational qualification required for the CDS exam is 19 to 25 years. The cds exam is carried out by UPSC twice a year . Both male and female candidates are allowed to apply. THe applicant should be physically and mentally strong and should be fit for the defense services.The minimum height required for male candidate is 157cm and for female candidate it is 152cm.the applying candidate should be unmarried. Candidate should be an indian citizen.The applying candidate must posses a good eye sight.

After completing B.Tech if you want to join Indian Army then you have to qualify the Combined Defence Services exam.

COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

Eligibility criteria for C.D.S exam:-
> Pass Graduation with any stream from recognized Univerity.
> Age limit should be above 19 year and below 24 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit (no major surgery)

There are three stages of selection:-
> Written Exam

You can join the Indian Army through ::

Combined Defence Service Examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year . To get into Indian Army through CDS examination then you must have a possessing the degree in any discipline from a recognized Institution .

Even final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for the Indian Army examination but pre-final year candidates are not eligible to apply and one more thing there is no standing arrears at the time of appearing for this examination .

The candidate must have a minimum 19 years and maximum 24 years and Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply .

University Entry Scheme Examination is conducted by Indian Army through the Some Universities and conducted Once in a year .

To apply for this examination , you must have a completed engineering degree and there is no percentage bar required . Final year OR pre-final year of course may also eligible to apply .

The candidate age should be between 20 years and 27 years at the time of appearing for this examination . The candidate must be Citizen of India .

National Cadet Crops Examination and this examination is conducted by Indian Army twice in a year . Basic Qualification to apply for this examination is that candidate need to completed degree course from a recognized University .

The candidate must secure at least 50% marks in their examination and final year candidate may also eligible but the candidate must secure at least 50% marks in last two year of degree course .

The candidate age should be between 19 years and 25 years at the time of appearing for this examination and there is no upper age limits .

The candidate must have a compulsory NCC B certificate to apply for the NCC Entry Examination .

After B.Tech completion you will be eligible for CDS Examination if you want to join Defence.

CDS Examination is conducted by UPSC every year and you have to be very well prepared for it then only you will have any chance of qualifying it.

Educational Qualifications for CDS Exam:

-For Indian Army Graduation in any discipline is required but if you want to join Indian Air Force or Navy then you must have Graduation in Engineering or Maths or Physics.

-You must be an Indian Citizen and also you should be Unmarried.

Age Limit For CDS Exam:

For Air Force Academy - 19 to 23 years

For Naval Academy - 19 to 22 years

Indian Military Academy - 19 to 24 years

Officers Training Academy - 19 to 25 years

Last date to apply is 24th June 2013

1. Give CDS exam which is for the Graduate level student exam
2. Indian Army also direct recruitment done through this website http://joinindianarmy.nic.in. You can apply according to the recruitment done.
