you havnt specified your branch in btech.there are lot of streams that you can specialise that there are no programming part.go for the subject in connection with your btech branch

you didnt mentioned the branch of btech. Its ok that you are weak in programming, not every student feel comfortable with this.

If you did your btech in ECE than you should choose microelectronics or vlsi stream mtech. There is no subject of programming in master degree from electrical branch.
If you did btech in CSE than i dont think so there is any subject without programming fundamental.
It is good than you also think to make career in management side.

Don,t be worried,I am not cleared that in which stream you have completed
your bachelor degree .

I am giving your reply considering that you are student Computer
Sc(B.Tech).As you have no interest on MBA,then you will go for M.Tech,
its right. you can take admission in M.Tech with Computer Sc. and Engg.
But you have to study hard,you have to obtain the real concept,then
you will reach to the goal.

To remove the weekness in programming I will suggest you to read the
problem properly,understand the problem,then try to find out the main
logic behind the problem,then go for starting the programming.
One think I will suggest you to practice more and more.

you have a lot of options in M.tech.
As you are not interested in programming then you can choose either Software engineering or mobile technology in your M.Tech course.You will face programing but a little bit only.

You need not to be panic, just take well preparation for GATE exam so that you can choose IIT or IISC,bangalore as per your GATE score.

As you are very weak in programming so better go for some administrative subject in the M.Tech such as
DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM,
COMPUTER SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE,
LINUX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION,
COMPUTER NETWORKING,
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE,
MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM,
COMPUTER GRAPHICS, etc......

So you may choose these subjects in the M.Tech if you are not interested in MBA.

It is difficult to give accurate information since you have not mentioned your branch in BTech.

you need not worry if you are not comfortable with programming. There are many branches in BTech which does not require programming like electrical, mechanical, aeronautical, civil etc.

Even if you have pursued BTech in IT, Computer science branch that requires programming skills you can pursue MTech in a related branch that requires little programing.

You also have the option of changing your stream in MTech.

You can choose according to your interest

If you don't like programming then you can take such stream which involve instrumentation or mechanical ideas

After Btech you need go in for software /IT jobs, that is where you need to be good in programming. Even if have done Btech in CS, you have options like hardware, networking etc which doesnt need much programming skills. If you have done Btech in any other streams, then there are so many avenues which you can look into.

i think you can do MBA or other courses because you are weak in programing if you can do studies hard than you can do M.tech because you have done B.tech. so i think this is good option but if you do not have interest than do MBA.

You need not worry...Since you are not intrested in mba...then dont do it and spoil your life...As you are weak in programming...you can do programming courses in some private institutes....it will help you and do m.tech...

Programming in computer is really very hard think to understand. Many of the students cann't realise the way programming is done their work in computer. So, please don't worry for that.
Without programming skill you can do a very good job in the following streams in mtech :
1) Go for Computer Science : With specialization in Computer
Networking,Computer Architecture.
2) You can go for ECE or EE stream where programming is not
needed.
There are so many way you can go but it would be better for me to tell you if you had mentioned your stream in b.tech. So please reply again with your stream.

But you can try for MBA also as it has very good prospect and without your programming skill you can do a very good carrier there.

First you have not mentioned you are belong from which stream in B.Tech. if you are in software background you can do your M.tech like CS or IT.but if you are from core background no other subjects without core department will be help you..

As you are speaking about programming then i think you are talking about computer science.

Frankly speaking you should not go for MTech if your not interested and not prepared for it. To do MTech you BTech base should be strong and since you say your programming skill is a bit laggy then either you have to work it out or you can go for a job

I am not discouraging you but advicing you that if you are not extraordinary in MTech then you wont get that extra job salary .

So think about it

If you are weak in programming then choose branch other than CS and IT.
In my opinion its better to choose that branch in M.Tech in which you have done B.Tech.

hii frnd if yoy are from computer sc. ,then i would suggest you to do MBA and as you are not good in programming ,so mtech will not suit you and for your career PG is required ,so you will enjoy MBA go for it and succeed.

It's good that you are doing M.Tech if you are interested in theory papers then you have to choose Software engineering or networking like stream in your M.Tech tese are theoretical 7 have no linking to coding & programming language.

Im a Btech passout 2011 in ECE but im very weak in programming.
My interets are in designing (not on computer), painting, cooking but due to least scope in all these things in India im not clear about what should i do to go in with my graduation to have a good and secure job for Btechs.

please suggest me something since whenever i go for any walk-in for IT Companies they demand C programming and with that im not comfortable.

If you dont have interest in programming then its not a big problem.You have other options and also for choosing.If you want to do your higher studies ad dont want to go for mba.Then you have also a very good option.Mtech is a very good option for you because there is so much scope agter mtech.You can get a very good salery after mtech degree.The main problem is your than you didnt understand programming language thats why you are not good in programming.Try to learn from the basics.You can get command easily on programming language.If you do regular work on programming then its very good for you to work on programming.You can also do course of programming along with your mtech degree.So choose this option .It will give you so much job opportunities in future.
Other options for you are networking,ooprating system,database.

Dear Aspirant,

If you are saying specific about the programming then you might be from the IT/ CSE i guess.

Since you didnot disclose your stream details we cannot suggest you clearly on the question.

But we can answer it.If you are from the IT/CSE you are strictly not escaped from the programming because the department is of programming so you cannot escape that.

If you are from the ECE then you might escape the software programming concerned course in the mtech.

For that you need to survey on the subject available in the certain department.

Only by that you have a chance of finding out and skipping that stream of subject.

In this way you can find your self the answer for your problem.But if you are from the IT/CSE then you need to start working atleast from now so that you need to know the basics in the programming atleast to survive in the mtech and get a degree from it.

*Databases.
*Computer Networks.
*Software Engineering.
*Digital Electronics.
