i am deepti and wants to know abt the age limit for bank po examiniation?

Hello deepti,
The eligible age for the post of PO in public sector banks is usually between 21 years to 30 years(with rellaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC).
The maximum age limit for the post of PO in private sector banks is usually between 25 years - 28 years depending upon the standard set by each banks.

relaxation of the upper age limit for 2011 are as follows:

1.Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates: 5 years
2.Other Backward Classes candidates: 3 years
3.Persons with Disability (PWD): 10 years
4.The children / Family members of those who died in the 1984 riots:5 years
5.Ex-serviceman / Commissioned Officers including ECOs/ SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released 5 years

The age limit varies from bank to bank. Generally in public sector bank the age limit is between 21years and 30years. In the private sector the age limit varies. For some the maximum age limit is 28 years while for some it is 30 years. There is relaxation for those who belong to the ST/ SC.

one should have crossed 21 years and should not have crossed 30 years....

Age relaxation is also there......

for PH candidates, there is 10 years relaxation.

for SC/ST/ex-service man, there is 5 years relaxation.

one must be graduate in any stream from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks....though the cut offs marks may vary from bank to bank.

The Eligiblity criteria are vary from banks to banks.

But, to appear in bank po examination, you need to scored minimum 60% marks in your graduation degree and your age should between 21 to 30 years.

But Many banks required minimum 55% Marks in your graduation.

So, Please dont worry, if you have scored minimum 55% Marks in your graduation exam, then you are eligible to appear for any bank po examination.

For PO You should have completed their graduation with at least 60 % aggregate from the recognized University to be eligible for this course.
you must be computer literate to be eligible for this course.

Selection Criteria:
Examination will be held in two terms.
First term(1st objective paper,discriptive paper).
Second term-interview.

Objective examination will consist of:
i.Reasoning Ability Test

iv.English Language

In discriptive paper you will have to give the answers of 5 different questions on different topic(based on social economic and some social issues).

In recent days there are several notifications regarding the recruitment of Probationary officers by various public sector and private sector banks.

Here i am providing the eligibility criteria for bank PO exams.

Age criteria ;
-One should be in the age group of 21-30 years

the age limit for bank PO exam is 21-30 years....however a relaxation is given to candidates belonging to OBC'S AND SC/ST categories in the upper limit.....

age: 33 for OBC'S and 35years for SC/ST....

you also need to have 60%in your +2 exam and 55%in graduation level......

the age limit might vary a bit for private banks........

They are not require any kind of percentage marks in graduation for this time.

But your age must be in between 20 to 30 years.Age relaxation is provide only for SC/ST/OBC candidate .For Sc/ST candidate have age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC candidate it is 3 years.

BANK PO exam consist of two steps 1) Written test 2)Personal Interview.

For written test you must be prepare for mathematics and general knowledge.Also you must have basic knowledge computer field.

Every bank set their own criteria .So it is not perfect criteria all BANK PO exam.

A new restriction has been imposed on the number of attempts for the candidates. For general number of attempts is 4, for OBC it is 7 and for SC/ST.
