Respected Sir/Madam, I am interested to join Merchant Navy. But I don't know about the age criteria. So, can you please let me know about the age limit for joining Merchant Navy? Please let me know immediately. Thank you!

The minimum age limit of join Indian Navy is 17 years.
The age criteria for Navy recruitment is 17-25 with age relaxation of 5 years for the scheduled castes and tribes.

Age Limit to Join Merchant Navy:

The minimum age is 17 years and the maximum is 25 years to be eligible for examinations pertaining to the Merchant Navy. As per the Government rules, the maximum age relaxation for SC and ST ( Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) is 5 years. No relaxations for OBC candidates.

If you want to join Merchant Navy through NDA examination that can be given by a candidate after passing 11th standard then the candidate must have minimum age of 16.5 and maximum should not exceed 19.5 years where as no upper age relaxation is given.
