Re: What to choose after passing B.Com?
You are eligible to enroll for courses such as CA, CS, ICWA along with pursuing B.Com. Each of these courses offers specialisation in specific areas. Like CA course covers financial accounting and taxation area, CS covers the various laws by which a company is governed and ICWA covers cost accounting and management accounting. If you follow a structure way of studies certainly you can pursue any of these courses along with graduation. You can pursue MBA thereafter.

Re: What to choose after passing B.Com?
You have taken right decision. A B.Com degree alone is not going to help you secure your future. You must do some other course as well. Below are some options for you. Please check them out.
LLB You can become lawyer by pursuing LLB course. It is a 3 years long course that can be pursued only via regular mode. Unfortunately the Bar Council of India does not recognize any correspondence degree. After completing LLB you may practice as lawyer, apply for government lawyer job. You also have the option to apply for legal advisor job in private companies or start your own law firm. Eligibility 1. A graduation degree in any discipline. 2. Minimum of 45 percent marks. 3. SC/ST candidates need 40 percent marks. 4. The age limit for LLB is 30 years. 5. There is 5 years relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST. MCA Master of Computer Applications is good option especially if you have interest in computer applications. There is good scope in IT industry after completing MCA course. You can apply for job in Infosys, Wipro and other big IT giants in the country. Eligibility 1. Must have completed a bachelor degree course. 2. At least 50 percent marks. 3. Maths should be one of the subjects in either 12th or graduation. MBA You showed some interest in Master of Business Administration. Since you have completed B.Com, I will say that you should pursue MBA either in Finance or Banking. You will have great future after completing Master of Business Administration degree. You will be able to apply for good jobs in banking sector, investment firms and many other sectors after MBA degree. Eligibility 1. A graduation degree in any discipline. 2. You will need 50 percent marks in graduation to appear for CAT Exam. 3. SC/ST candidates will need 45 percent marks. 4. There is no percentage criteria if appeared for Management Aptitude Test. CA Chartered Accountancy is very common course that is taken up by B.Com graduates. If you have scored 55 percent marks in B.Com then directly take admisison for the second stage of Chartered Accountancy course IPCC. Otherwise you will first have to clear Common Proficiency Test (CPT) which is conducted in June and December. The opportunities after CA are plenty. You can work for private companies, auditing firms or even start your own firm. |

Re: What to choose after passing B.Com?
Hello,
Do you mean that you want to do a course in parallel with B.Com. If yes, then you can do courses on Financial Accounting or TALLY along with B.Com. No full fledged courses, that are under some university can be done along with a regular graduation course. After B.Com, if you score more than 50% then you can go for MBA course. The most moderate yet intricate curriculum for MBA is held in IGNOU. You can give CAT or OPENMAT as the MBA entrance examination. Then if you have a valid score in any of these two, then you can apply for MBA in IGNOU. There are 21 courses in IGNOU in the MBA program. For each course you need to pay Rs.800. The last year will include projects as one or two courses. Good Luck. |
