What is the correct age for girl admission in 1st standard?

My daughter date of birth is 13/08/2013. Now, she is studying in Upper Kindergarten UKG. Is this correct age for her to go to 1st standard?

There is no specific age limit for getting admission into 1st class but generally at the age of 5 years or 6 years a kid will be in his 1st class.
So, as per the date of birth you mentioned, yes your child has correct age for getting into 1st class.

The minimum age required to get admission in 1st standard is 5 years and 6 months or 6 years and 6 months. Some of the schools may have their own eligibility criteria but as you are interested to get admission in CBSE school hence your child must have minimum of 5 years age in order to get admission.

The correct age required to join your daughter in first standard is 5 years 6 months. As per the information you have mentioned in your query, your daughter is born on 13/08/2013, so she will be 4 years 6 months old at present, so, she is not eligible to take admission in first standard in schools which follow age criteria for offering admission in first standard.

If your daughter's dob is that what you have mentioned above your daughter is almost 4years 4 months . So yes she ready to go in class 1, because there are many schools which take admission in kg at the age of 3.5 years .

So don't worry she is on right way.

Look if your child is studying in UKG then she is eligible to pursue 1st standard. But it depends on the mind of your child that she catches everything in current class in which she is studying. If she is not able to catch topics in UKG then it will be better to continue UKG one more year.
But if she is good in studies then it will be better to promote to next class. One more thing is that there is no any exact age criteria set by the government to get admission in school.
