Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
Its better to go for the higher studies after B.tech if you are financially strong. As the job which you will get after higher studies will be more stable, promising & no doubt more reputed & at a higher pay scale.

Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
This decision depends upon you totally.
If you have good economical background then you can go for further studies. You can do P.G. courses like MBA or M.Tech. IT Sector is very tough for freshers specially. So if you go for higher education then you can easily achieve specialisation & then be more specific in selecting comapnies. Decision to go for M.Tech or MBA is totally yours. It depends on your interest. Both of them are highly in demand in market. If interested in job try to get job through campus placement because finding job outside college is very tough. You can get job in some Software company after B.tech . |

Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
hi!
Whether to pursue higher studies or to do job is a decision which you have to take. Both the options are good. You can choose any one of two depending up on your interest, knowledge, skill & career objective. If you choose to pursue further education then you ca do MBA or MTech or MS again depending up on your interest. All the 3 courses offers bright career prospects. You can also opt for a job in some reputed companies. These companies offer Engineering freshers handsome pay package & opportunity for career growth & advancement. |

Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
1. Go for M.Tech only if you have a passion about further studies and you need to be very focussed on your branch.
2. Go for MBA. This increases chances of a job but a MBA after 1-2 years of work experience would be preferable. 3. Go for a job. The best option available. Start earning. 4. Go for short term, placement oriented courses in your domain. |

Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
It totally depends upon your choice and financial condition. if your financial condition is not good then you should go for the job and carry on your study with distant learning programme .
IN NOWADAYS THE HIGHER EDUCATION IS ALWAYS HELPFUL so,if you financial condition is good then i will suggest you to go for higher education first and then you will find a lot of jobs. at last the decision is yours . |

Good morning,
Sir it is your choice that in which field you want to proceed. If you are interested in gaining more information then you must go for Higher studies and if you are not interested in studying further then you must apply for any government job or any job. Good day....... |

Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
Dear friend
The decision to choose either JOB or Higher Studies depends on >The type of Opportunity, You are getting i.e. Which college you are getting for Higher studies or in which company you are getting a job? e.g. If you get a normal job and M.Tech. in IITs then go for M.Tech. if you think that after M.Tech. you can get a better job. Similarly if you get a job in Microsoft and M.Tech. in IITs go for job in Microsoft. >Your interest is in earning or you are more inclined towards research work? e.g. If you don't like operational work stress and want a white collar office job with less stress then go for research work i.e. higher studies. >What is your Ultimate goal? The ultimate goal of a person can be too far from studies in many case. e.g. If you want to do civil services then higher studies would be useless because of time constraints. If your ultimate goal is earning money rather than research work then decision could be different. If you want to do higher studies just for placing yourself in the upper level of a company's hierarchy, higher studies would be a good choice. All you have to do is to analyze your interest and goals yourself and then decide. If you can't decide right now, attempt for both the paths. i.e. Try to get a good job and also a good college for higher studies. See, where you get better future prospects and then decide. Thank You |

Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
hi...
there are many factors to make the decision of job or higher studies. 1.your economical status,if you belong to an good family and your parents can afford the cost of your higher education then there is no problem or else you should think about earning first 2.your knowledge in your subject and the type of higher study you want to do, if you think if you are good enough for the education and have the basics to cope with that education only then go for an higher studies or job is an better option 3.your dedication towards studies 4.your personal interest and choice all the best |

Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
Higher studies is never bad. I would say it depends on situation and opportunity. It would be good if you choose to do M.Tech It will be useful in finding much better jobs. Well, it wholly depends on your interest. If you are getting a good package now, you may think of doing the job.

Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
I feel that one should a job after B.Tech to get the knowledge ,change in environment, what is going around us.While studying and studying we get only bookish knowledge, but after getting job we came to know how to work in team, discipline and in certain situation which we can not get in college time.
doing job in some company we get confidence that we can do something. If someone is more interesting in higher studies he/she should do job one or two year then he can again switch to higher studies. |

Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
dear friend
well it depends upon your interest.i will just tell you the options you are having . 1.If you are in a hurry of earning money go for job, well the progress depends on your hardwork and all. 2.it is better to go for MBA after a few years of work experience so you will do job as well as after a few year you will get privilege in your admissions to MBA. 3.Now only you can go for MBA but that will require investment and will be a bit difficult also without work ex. 4.If you are interested in research you can do M.Tech,M.S and then Phd etc. There also during your coarse duration you may get money monthly in the reputed institutes but less in amount.after which you can work for companies for their research and development or may become a lecturer in beginning. so decision is up to you. thank you |

Dear Friend;
Greeting For the Day; Think once, twice,Thrice Even Tetra........What do you want, Actually??????...Because no one can give you better answer than You.But as a suggestion ,,,,,According to the present situation in India there are Thousands of engineering colleges and there are lakhs of lakhs students passing Every year in B.tech out of all the passing students there are only few hundred or thousands are going for M.Tech of higher studies. so what i am trying to say You is anyhow the higher studies is better for you coz once you will be in job then you are not able to pursue higher studies and after so many years you will be facing problem in appraisal, now you are having the golden chance so grab the chance and go for higher studies.... Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
after B.Tech what you will do it will totally depends on your interest and also depends on the opportunity.
if after B.Tech you just think that now you should apply your theoretical knowledge in the industry then obviously job is better option for you. but if you have good score in GATE or you get any good opportunity for higher study then i think you should go for higher study. because higher study is always good for the career. so if you get any chance for higher study then you should not miss it. best wishes. |

Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
Hello,
Thats a very common dilemma most student face owing to today's market condition. Well as I see I dont think today engineering is enough a qualification to procure a good job with an handsome salary. So i think going for higher studies is the beast option you have in hand. There are various courses which you can go for depending on your field of interest. You may opt for MBA that is a management course or may go for M.TEch that is related to higher studies of engineering. Consult your parents and the faculty they may better guide you knowing your potential, but ultimately choice is yours.. Good Luck! |

Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
I think it is better for you to apply for jobs on completion of your B. Tech. Most of the companies prefer freshers. So gain 2 or 3 years experience. After that you can do your higher studies. But, don’t forget to prepare for GATE, CAT and MAT exams while you are in job.

Hello friend
It is completely your choice. In my view you should go for higher studies. But at the same time if you get a good job offer with a healthy salary then you should stick with the job option. You can also do the job simultaneously with your studies if you manage yourself. Best of luck.... |

Re: What to do after B.Tech, higher studies or job?
if you are getting a good job which is satisfying your needs then there is no need to go for higher studies. but if you want to earn more then you must go for higher studies. doing m.tech or mba will surely increase your chances of getting a good job. all the multinational companies prefer m.tech or mba over b.tech. if you want to do m.tech then you will have to give GATE exam and if you want to do MBA, then you will have to give entrance exam of CAT.
